It was good. I liked it. That part with Cpt. Marvel's GRL POWERRR had me cringing tons though.

I'm not quite sold on...

Black Widow being permanently gone. You can either do two things regarding this situation.

  1. Use the new reality version of Black Widow if the solo film will establish.
  2. Have Black Widow that died be a skrull, therefore setting up Secret Invasion as the next big Avengers film. You could do the same with Cap & Iron Man also.

That would make the earlier movies terrible. Nick Fury in Winter Soldier was completely devalued after Captain Marvel made a joke out of him. The same would be said here if you were to say, "They were cardboard cutouts all along!" and pretend everything's still rosy. To have nobodies take their place makes the event worthless, so you'd just be hurting your own canon.

Stories coming to an end is oftentimes a good thing. Leave the corpse parading to Star Wars.

it's company policy since the start of day one

A cam copy is out. Quality is really good all things considered.

I'm watching it and Captain Marvel just feels shoe-horned in there. It's just so blatant. I wonder if you could fan-edit this shit and cut all of her scenes out? Use some After Effects shit and have Thor find Tony in the ship instead of this bitch?

That was actually really enjoyable, although Captain Marvel was fucking insufferable so I’m glad she’s only in like 3 scenes.

I also wish there was an end credits thing of the moment Steve reunited with Peggy for the very first time, but there was nothing. I guess the Russo’s last laugh was to not have an end credits scene at all even though people were expecting one.

Half of the audience in the theatre where i saw the movie stayed in the hopes of a post-credits scene. I knew that they decided not to put one this time, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I would have liked a couple of hints about Phase 4.

This was really fucking good. I thought Avengers 1 and 2 were okay at best. Not terrible movies but mediocre enough. I didn't expect for them to suddenly get this good. I'd rank 3 and 4 as among the best superhero movies of all time. Easy top 10.

I guess it's like:

Russo Brothers > Sensitive Joss Whedon

Yeah. There are several scenes that are really fucking epic. When Cap did
THAT thing when he fought Thanos before the final battle the whole theatre was like 'whoa'.

What happened to Ant Man?

Ant-Man was freed by a random rat when it landed on the button that sent him to the quantum realm at the end of the Ant-Man and the Wasp, he was there for 5 years but for him it was only like 5 hours cause time-wimey. He survives though, so does the Wasp when Hulk snaps her back into existence, along with everyone else that was lost after the Snap. He basically sets up the whole thing for them doing time-travel for the Infinity Stones so his role in the movie is actually one of the more important ones. Also while he was gone his daughter grew up and is a young adult now, can't remember how old she was supposed to be so I'm not sure on her age actually.

Edit: I was a bit off, she's apparently like 15-16 now, not a young adult

That's weird because I thought his daughter was like maybe 7.

I got some goosebumps for Tony. Perfect conclusion for that character. No spoilers.

The only weak link for the movie is Captain Marvel but like others have said she isn't in the movie enough to ruin it.

Apparently I was wrong on that one, I checked it out and it seems around the time Scott disappeared in the quantum realm she was like 10-11 years old so right now she's around 15-16 in Endgame

More a nitpick than anything else:

The time travel thing was fine but since they introduced it it devalues death. Tony could come back in some other movie down the line since they introduced this bullshit. Hopefully they don't because it will just cheapen his sacrifice.

I haven't watched her movie yet, but from what I saw in Endgame I had the impression that Captain Marvel is the kind of character that is so powerful that it becomes difficult to manage (from a narrative POV). I mean, look at what happened to the two strongest Avengers,
Thor and Hulk: both have been 'downsized' in personality and looks, weakened and treated like comic-relief for the most part of the movie, probably because if they were their usual badass selves there wouldn't be much of a story to tell. The process of devaluing Thor started years ago and this is just its climax, I suppose they couldn't do that to Marvel since it's a new character so the best decision was not having her in the movie too much.
Having characters that can easily solve every issue with their powers doesn't make writing easy.

I thought her fighting Thanos at the end was fine because he still flicked her away like she was nothing. I could see fans of Thor being pissed but I thought it was fine even though it became a running joke. Hulk disappointed me a little, I expected Banner to get into some more fights. But it's not like Captain Bitchface comes in and saves everyone at the end of the day. She helps but that's the extent of her character. No doubt her role in the film was downgraded as much as humanly possible because the higher ups recognize that people don't like her.
