I saw Lupin earlier in the thread. Aside from the obvious part 2 theme. The part 3 theme is quite funky and very much of the that 80s disco mold.

This OP of Ranma 1/2 is my ultimate fav. It's simple and catchy.

Eternal Snow from Full Moon. Full Moon is about Mizuki who has throat cancer with a year left to live and a shinigami grants her the power to transform into an older version of herself that does not have cancer. She has a thriving pop career. I reccomend reading the manga and listening to the soundtrack

This one is an obvious choice as Nana is about two women named Nana and one is in a rock band inspired by the sex pistols. There's two bands in the series trapnest and blast (black stones) both fictional bands have great music.

Beck is for music dudes. I don't really reccomend the anime because it's cheaply produced and kinda boring. The Beatles cover at the end is good and I heard the manga is far better. Anyway this OP is still super catchy and yes they did do the kappa mikey theme lol

The ending for Ebichu goes hard. My husband and I play it in the car sometimes. Not to be confused with Hamtaro.

People always joke that Eureka 7 is "we have evangelion at home" but I think it's cool that it's a blend of 2000s skater culture and mecha. It's fun it's weird but it really stands out in the genre.

Maaya Sakamoto has been involved in voice acting and singing OP or ED for anime. Yoko Kanno is featured again lol. Escaflowne is a personal favorite of mine.

The Escaflowne Movie while not the same plot or tone as the anime has some really moody songs.

I've got to give it to Eureka Seven. First opening was a banger. Main OST is orchestra music but weirdly intimate I guess? It doesn't feel like generic 'movie orchestra' music, really touching and memorable. And the theming around electronic music was just cool. I remember trying to get Kagami's music back in the day but it was hard to find, I ended up spending extra money at fucking Beatport to get his music
