Hokuto SNCA part 13
once again not much to say, they're 100% sticking to the manga but this episode featured the remaster of the probably th piece of HnK media that was the most famous in the late 2000s era of Youtube

I won't say it's bad but they somehow managed to make Gojiba both sound and look less despicable, the original despite its jankiness genuinely made him feel like disgusting filth

not sure why they made him into such a deformed hunchback, he certainly doesn't look like it in the manga

I figured they wouldn't deploy Tiger & Dragon this episode but it still felt a little disappointing, this also means there's another episode before we get to see a glimpse Jagi
with the current pace of 3-4 chapters per episode and the manga having 245 chapters we're looking at 3 full or 6 half seasons and I dearly hope there's no delay between them
1-13 for Shin + Rei + a glimpse of Jagi, 14-26 for Amiba, Toki, Raoh, Juda, Shu and Souther, 27-39 for Kenshiro vs Raoh, 40 - 52 for Falco & Kaioh, 53 - 65 for the rest of land of Asura + whatever bullshit happens after Kaioh

edit: oh yeah while I'm at it if anyone knows a good, simple, free piece of software for video editing (nothing beyond trimming, volume adjustment and maybe some basic image editing) that doesn't shit itself when I want the output to be 4:3 (i.e. it doesn't render black bars), let me know

They've been doing that as of late for some ungodly reason. I just bought the Mars 30th anniversary omnibus and it has a stupid "suicide is not the answer" trigger warning as soon as you open up the book, so I whited it out lol. It's a fucking '90s shoujo aimed at high schoolers, I know what kind of melodrama I'm getting into. Most of the intended audience knows what they're getting into. Stop treating these older titles with kid gloves.
Not only is it for faggots, but it can actively spoils the work for people who want to watch it, rather than put it in the background so he can claim to watch it.

The Ultraviolence was pretty good, first guy rips himself in half, the second explodes in midair like a fucking comet. It's done way better than violence in other anime (probably due to feeling more impactful rather than like other anime having people being made out of jelly without any deformation).

Feels nice to have a weekly dose of Ken brutalising some piece of shit in seemingly endless brutal ways.

Don't know if it counts or it should be in Western Cartoons, but I just finished the Devil May Cry anime's second season. I only know of the series very vaguely, mostly via osmosis from DMC 5. Any preconceptions of what life is supposed to be like don't matter to me, so I suppose that helped me enjoy it more. Very good fights, kino music. The plot is rather dumb, but from what I understand DMC is supposed to be kinda stupid anyway. The final fight between Vergil and Dante calling back to Kakashi vs Obito was unexpected but it did activate my member berries. The whole question of who the fuck Sparda was is very frustrating but I think with the final season they'll explain it. And he'll just be an average father like Goku

Adi Shankar or whatever that Pajeets name is, is one of the worst things that's ever graced the planet. Man ruins every fuckin franchise he touches.
If he's left to his lonesome. The first bit of Castlevania was pretty good- the whole hunt to kill Dracula. Afterwards the plot just meandered, but I don't play Castlevania so I don't know much beyond Belmonts killing Dracula. Still it was a fun first and second season.

Watched the Zombieland Saga film. Probably the weirdest idol film of all time (at least without becoming a sex metaphor) and a great finale for the show, with a lot of elements from it popping up as if it was all planned ahead. 10/10.

Saying it's the best idol show ever made doesn't do it justice since the genre is shit (unless you count Uma Musume) and it has a great balance of comedy and drama.

Just finished he new Baki season. You just can't beat the manga, but it was alright all things considered.

The writing is peak, the animation sucks but at least they adapted poses straight from the manga, and I had fun. If you watched only the stuff on Netflix and thought it was neat, I recommend reading the manga or watching the original anime.
