I remember reading the manga (i think before it was adapted into anime i think) and i dropped it after guy decided to turn himself into a ?trap? (?girl?) and one of his buddies wanted to clap his cheeks i think like it is on season 4 so it must be doing something right. And the Ani News guy that i watched for Overlord cut content also does some vids about the thing so it could be interesting to occupy myself with.
Because the alternate things to watch, namely Western media, are even worse. Also, it is a thing to watch crap to look for those "So bad, it's good" gems.

Re:Zero at this point seems to only be carried on the momentum of fans arguing and fighting over which girl Subaru is going to bone and get with in the end. I've heard from my brother years ago that the writer legit can't decide who's going to end up as "best girl" and that's likely why it's still dragging on.
In my opinion it's dragging on because each arc seems like a filler arc with maybe one episode worth of plot, so the story goes nowhere and each chapter is just more and more random bullshit. Almost nothing that happened since the White Whale has advanced the plot in any way that matters and there are so very few bits of new information that the further you go the more and more pointless it all seems. It has been a decade since I found out about this series and yet the story that has been told since then was not worth waiting a decade for. I don't think I feel like sticking around for God only knows how long just to see a shitty ending.
It's mostly something you watch if you like to see the main character squad do nation building because Rimeru's power is making fights he was probably going to win suddenly incredibly one sided pulling a new power up out of his ass. Him being a man with the form of a women is mostly ignoreable because he has no sex drive because it's not that anime.
Niwatori Fighter just ended and boy what a fun ride that was!
There was never a dull moment between the dumb chicken noises, the DBZ & Street Fighter references, and the ridiculous but heartfelt story. I just wish that final battle didn't take as long as it did.
