I managed to get through the YTP editing and her going on about Survivor and Lord of the Flies. She says the show is shit, the characters barely interact with the environment, it takes them several episodes in to even have a basic small talk-level conversation with each other, they don’t seem to care about each other or themselves at all, and major concepts like abstraction are never properly utilized or explored. She’s right about all of this.

I wasn't prepared for Ang to have such a based take on this show. Unfortunately, I've watched the entirety of the series since the premise is interesting, but the writing is very weak. I assume the fandom's pretty rabid about criticism, so I can only guess how much flak she's going to get over this. Part of me thinks that she's banking on using the inevitable backlash to farm drama.
 
While Ang kind of has a point that the TADC characters take too long to warm up to one another and the show's more interesting concepts such as abstraction are underdeveloped, her extremely obnoxious editing style and awful 'cartoony' voice made this a difficult watch and I doubt the average TADC fan would be able to sit through enough of the video to process her argument.

Despite her apparent belief that she is an excellent communicator, Ang seems to struggle immensely with getting to the point. She spends the entire video rambling, often circling back to points she made earlier without progressing the argument any further or going on long tangents that are barely related to the topic. She does this in her Tumblr posts as well and it makes comprehending what she is trying to say needlessly frustrating. She claims that she could write a novel better than Lord of the Flies in her sleep- I'd genuinely like to see her try if only to laugh at how much of a chaotic, incomprehensible mess it would end up being.

A couple of random observations:

• She inserts a lengthy clip of her playing a VR game into the video at 1:13. She's speaking in her normal voice in the clip which made the transition back to her stupid accent quite jarring. There is another male-sounding voice in the background, though I'm not sure who this might be
• At 13:37, she claims that her alter Lyick briefly starts speaking. I guess she hasn't given up the DID LARP after all
• She slips in another request for money at the end of the video because of course she does. I wonder if anyone actually donates to her after seeing these videos?
 
Finally had time to watch the video. Was a bit incomprehensible for somebody who hasn't seen the show, but that was to be expected. Her video editing skills are suprisingly good.

Also, she talks as if Gooseworx is contacting her to try and be her friend? I'm really having trouble figuring out what exactly she's trying to say here.

I checked the other day and there was a comment picking apart some of her criticisms of the show as actually making sense within universe, a specific point I remember being essentially 'The Circus is supposed to be a form of torture so therefore it makes sense why they wouldn't want to make small talk or exactly be friendly with eachother.' Wish I'd screenshotted it because she ended up replying to this person. She's also turned off anonymous asks on tumblr.

@Cryptojew might I suggest a similar notice in the OP to the Puppychan thread about archiving / screenshotting / etc everything ASAP with Ang?

If she ever got far enough that she was holding voice auditions, I'd probably do it just for a laugh. Impressions are something I'm actually pretty good, so there's a non-zero chance I could make it in too.

The bit at the end about "potentially needing to fundraise" just to be able to pay a voice actor really is the cherry on top of all this.

Speaking of, her magic blue powder fundraiser is still up but has been stalled at 5 donations for a while now, and her "Recovery from a traumatic event" fundraiser is still up, and last got a donation earlier today but still hasn't even reached half the goal. She's going to potentially have THREE fundraisers running at once now, in addition to her fanbox, substar, and ko-fi (which still actively get donations/subscribers)...

Something, something, she's smarter than literally everyone, able to break reality so well, artists are actually tapping into other realities and not actually creating things from their imaginations, and are just too stupid to realize, and that's actually what she's doing and isn't actually DID. Highlighted the DID part. Something in there about the rich men of the world being literal cartoon characters and society being some sort of scheme to buy up attempts to tap into realities and shelve them indefinitely?? I can't quite understand what the fuck she's trying to claim.
