I really hate this assessment because it shows Dobson hasn't played the game.

I mean, okay the opening part of Prime 1 is action-packed, but I feel that the game had a much richer atmosphere than the 2D games all thanks to the first person perspective. You were seeing the world through Samus' eyes, and that helped give the world added depth and complexity that simply was not possible before.

The game was still about exploring, it wasn't just shooting things. And it pisses me off idiots like Dobson and MovieBlob see it like that.

Dobson has an almost fetish-like love for Metroid: Other M, to the point that he constantly tries to defend it as the best Metroid game ever. He claims the real reason people hated it was because they're actually sexist.

It's extremely obvious that he is shitposting just for attention. Its amusing that while everyone is enjoying two (TWO) new Metroid games being announced, Dobson is starting fights on twitter because he's just that starved for social contact.
 
I think it just all ties into to his seeming hatred of Japan. Think about it: that comic where he got all pissy the DiC cartoons weren't canon, his infamous "Japan needs sensitivity training" rant because of Quiet in MGS:V, his hateboner for anime because "it ruined his artistic talent"....Fobson just seems to hate Japan in general.

This is the funny part: Dobson is more and more transparently fishing for outrage from the people around him, because that is literally the only human interaction he ever gets. Maybe he can catch those dang dirty cashiers that took so long getting his order in the crossfire, right? They play videogames too, don't they?

Well, "I just want to be left alone, why do you even obsess over me" is the call of distress of beta SJW mooks like Dobson. He loves getting into Twitter Slapfights but blocks and insults the other person the moment he gets his ass handed to him by arguments (so usually within 2-4 tweets)

As a female artist, porn can be a great tool. Reference is not something you trace line for line, you simply refer to it for how joints connect and yeah it's sadly one of the only easy to get sources where an artist can really easily easily see how things like breast attach to the chest wall in action or how thighs and hips act in a crouching posture. Life drawing is nice but you will not find a life drawing class that has a female model do a good open leg crouch. That and not every one is comfortable drawing from life, had a model in art school get a boner in the middle of a session, it's not fun for anyone, at least if I'm looking at porn I can get those angles and a little extra eye candy.

Maybe if Dobs was better at separating the sex from the reference he'd be better at dynamic anatomy.

edit: forgot to mention that even the old masters hired prostitutes as models. This shit isn't new, it's just on film.
