Dobbie isnt a narcissist, sure he has an ego but hes aware of what a fat and lazy shit he is. Hes aware hes dying alone, hes aware most of his fans are trolls and aware hes never gonna achieve his life goals. He knows he lost fans (which never really existed) and hes very aware of his LoLcow status. Hes stated long ago about hes "happy with mediocrity" which to be honest he is yet to actually achieve.
Dobson tweets so damn much because he has no actually friends to talk to but hes atleast aware that a portion of the internet pays attention to everything he does if only to laugh at it.

Dobbles did have potential and he squandered it so bad by being lazy as fuck and having an ego as large as Jupiter.
I mean if he really did care about his craft he could have done so much better. It seems he really only got into drawing because it was his only marketable skill, honestly he hasn't demonstrated he can do anything else.

The sad thing is, as I mentioned earlier, even if he did not become an animator at Disney or succesful comic artist, he could have still at least use the talent as designer for something. There is the comic based on true events, where his mother almost got him a job to do a mural for a school. He declined. Why? a few hundred bucks would have been in for him anyway and he could have shown his skills of in some way. Now? God knows where he is working. I am actually surprised he may have goten another job after the airport incident as I doubt they would write him a letter of recommendation at all.

By Dobsons own admission he only wants to work on projects he wants to work on. Most likely he turned down the mural because the school wasnt interested in immortalizing a blue bear inflating a sailor scout whilst Alex and Rat girl scissor.
The only reason he got the airport job is his mrs set it up for him.

Of course he also fucks up basic anatomy. And his Internet presence is so vast and bad that I can't imagine even the lowest tier comic book company would want to deal with him.

This art is actually good. Better than what he posts, I'd say, in terms of liveliness and visual interest. Everything seems so much more expressive and vivid here than compared to what Dobson's work has become.

I was reading through Dobbo's So You Suck at Being A Cartoonist strips, desperately looking for where the funny went (or if there ever was a funny to begin with), when I've stumbled upon this hidden gem:

Forget the inflation art - it's a sick fetish, but it's just a fetish. Reading through AzP, it's a bunch of "lol, women are so silly and horny and vain!" dressed up in wacky hijinks and "grrl powah!"
