Is his Patreon his only source of income? Is it possible to live with amount of money he receives every month here in America?
No. The "poverty line" in the U.S. is around $12,000 per year, so Dobs's Patreon is bringing in a little more than 10% of that.

He has mentioned having a day job before, but he is on social media so much I can't imagine when he does any paid work.

Jim Davis is worth $800 million, though. Also, people actually like Garfield, for whatever reason. Maybe just because the first few years were at least mildly amusing.

One of the reasons Garfield is so popular is because of its marketability. That's why Jim Davis made it in the first place: to get money.

It makes me think that Dobson probably was a consultant to another infamous webcomic, Moon Over June. Both webcomics have lesbians, unfunny jokes, and incredibly sexist. That's pretty horrifying. @CephalopodEnthusiast, knowing him, he'll quickly state that the reviewers are trolls.

I can see it. Both have obnoxious facial expressions and an art style that's hit or miss.

There's no way to survive off one dollar a month. Apart from the day job, he's probably getting support from his family.

Moon Over June is a shitty shitty webcomic but it does have a cult fanbase who like the comic in an its so bad its good way. Can you say the same for SYAC?

Syac doesn't have any value. Its only good for inflating Dobson's ego and material to make fun of him with

I had a dream last night that I was reading these new SYAC strips, and Dobson had begun to do something rather interesting. He was making a lot of non-jokes that involved panels where characters would just stand awkwardly staring at each other. What was interesting, is he wasn't actually drawing the awkward standing scenes. In a four-panel comic, he would draw stuff in the first two panels, but then the third was literally just a gradient background. Then the "punchline" would be drawn out in the fourth panel. He was trying to argue that since there was no dialogue in that panel, he shouldn't have to go through the trouble of drawing anything.

And now he isn't drawing the strips at all. Good job Dobby.

In the dream he was also trying to market these massive soap bricks with Alex Ze Pirate characters on them.

I've taken the liberty of blocking Dobby from his own comics.

I think it's quite an improvement.

You show them how's it done Dobs!:

Dobbo, just because some anime artists are just as bad as you are, this does not mean you are good. In fact, you are just as bad. Don't tell people how to do something if you can't do better, Fedobear.

The only Quality to Dobson is he isn't Sick Nick.

Though he seems to (like with everything under the sun) psychoanalyze Splatoon, which consists of you playing as a tween(?) character so by that context he comes off as super-creepy.

Última edición:
I wanted to try this but with one of the most annoying Dobby comics ever IMO. I fucking still can't stand that bear.

Much better!
