I know. I'm disputing that going to college means Dobson's IQ is higher than Chris's.
They're both autistic manchilds that went to college and chimp out whenever they get sensory overload.
Chris even has more passion for his art.

Sometimes I think Dobby was just the kid that was bullied back at school and now that he has something going, he latches on to it, in hopes not to lose it. As a way to say "Look! I AM a cartoonist! I have fans!"
All this whining and SJW crap, all this blabbering about feminism and games show me only two things:
-He wants to be "In the group" and thinks that if he spouts the right words, people will eventually love him and see what a "good guy" he is!
-He wants the "Good old times" back though, because back then, things weren't so complicated. But of course he wants this along with him being "famous". If something is to complicated for him, he just gives up on it, be it drawing, games, job or life.
He wants to just be famous for his drawings and people to praise him because "Oh look. Much talent. Wow." but he really does not seem to be able to keep up with the time.
I see way to much of Chris in this guy.

Dobson actually did hit a bizarre sweet spot a while back where he was relatively popular, and he did get on the front page of DA relatively regularly, and that wasn't just because of people making fun of him. Sure, there was always plenty of that because he's always done plenty worth making fun of, but he had a decent number of ass-kissers and sycophants for a while. He might have been the one out of that "fresh epics" nonsense that no one gave a shit about, but he was still somehow part of it, and although I can't find confirmation on this since that thing collapsed relatively quickly, I believe I remember the guy behind that whole thing brought bad comic artists together because he thought they were "popular" and therefore promising.
The problem he had was his supporters were basically all children. I'm pretty sure someone pointing that out was what prompted him to put that "When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness" quote that used to be on his profile. Except people weren't pointing it out to call him childish, people were pointing it out because children only spend their parents' money and they don't spend it on whiners on patreon. Now that his DA heyday has passed the only reason anyone knows who he is is because of the "haters" and "trolls".
Admitting he could fix his own problems would be admitting he's been causing his own problems the whole time, and he's got too much dumb pride to do that.

Yes, you are nitpicking, of course he has chosen this hairstyle to make the younger guy look more obnoxious, but that is what pretty much any other cartoonist would do.I know this might seem nitpicky, but is Dobson trying to draw an undercut hairstyle on the young guy? It just looks like someone glued a dead animal to some poor balding guy's head.

I'll go out on a limb here and theorize a bit:
I don't think Dobson has (or ever had) many 'real friends'. He's pretty much feels like a serious case of arrested development, who is missing 'validation' in his life and without any real people who could give something like that to him he joined the SJW crowd.
Dobson does not want to be 'the good guy' for sake of being 'the good guy', but because he wants to feel important. He wants people listen to him, look up to him and care about him. He is looking for bandaids to patch up his own insecurity.
This is also why he often contradict themselves:
One week that he is some kind of Level-50-Skyrim-Pacifist and in the next he is cooking the 'misogynist Whiterun bard' over a fire. He is looking for a hollow "Well done Dobson! You are the man!" not noticing that all the likes and retweets are nothing more than pointless instant gratification. Consistency is not important, he is just looking for the next fix. But even if people virtually applaud him on one thing, his feeling of 'being valid' will evaporate as quickly as it came, turning the oh-so-smug Dobson back into the grumpy, screaming Nookie-Bear who desperately tries to make the next pun (and fails). Dobson does not want to say things, because has anything profund to say, he says things so people answer and asspat him.
Dobson is so insecure, that anyone who is even threatens to scratch the layer of golden paint, he put on himself, is blocked and shut down. He has no idea how to deal with criticism or negativity apart from throwing a hissy fit like some teenager who has hormones pouring out of his ears. I guess the reason for that is, that he apparently never had the sort of friends, who tell you straight away that you are behave like idiot. And so every form of art-critique is automatically rated as a personal attack, because giving his opinions are not the core of his cartoons, it is 'look at me I am relevant'. So each time someone says "You could work on your hands." it translates for Dobson into "No, you are not relevant!".
This is also the reason why he goes furious if someone 'steals' his art, not because he thinks he looses money (well, he does, but that is not the point I am trying to make here) but because people 'disrespect' him. He's only making a hundred-thirty bucks a month, if a dollar more or less threatens his lively hood it is rather questionable how he survived until now in the first place.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having an audience of mainly children, if he had just accepted it he could have made comics aimed at that demographic.
Actually who is his demographic now? His comics often seem to be related to things that only affect him personally.

Ummmm... is this supposed to have a point? I mean, I can't even tell what Dobson is mad about here. I mean, from context if you knew about Dobson's prior issues with "gritty Batman" then you could probably guess it's because he doesn't like how Batman is all "grimdark and shit" to appeal to the modern audience, but if you were just walking into Dobson right now, you wouldn't understand what the fuck is going on...
Dobson's audience has and always been Dobson.
Everyone else he attracts is simply through coincidence. And probably 12.
Also, sorry if this counts as ween again, but I Tweeted another thing. I mean, we keep asking Dobson all of these obvious questions about whether his life would improve if he used some common fucking sense every once in a while, but... has anyone ever, like, actually asked him?

The weird thing about his current way of working is he seems to be trying to make memetic images about current nerdy stuff. Trying to make the sort of comic you might see go viral on Tumblr because it points out something about a new movie in a funny way.
Yet he locks them behind a pay wall so long, by the time his Mad Max piece came out I bet even Redditors were tired of shouting "mediocre" at each other.

Has Dobson's Patreon only ever had the one pledge amount?
I can only see the '$1 or whatever you want to pledge gets you access to everything' so why would anyone pledge more than a dollar if they don't get anything extra out of it?
If he is so pissed at people 'stealing' his art, why doesn't he just do something like this:
$1 - You get a thank you for supporting me
$3 - You get the above and early access to sketches
$5 - You get the above and time-lapse videos
$10 - You get the above plus a non time-lapse version explaining my work process.
Or whatever. He could make the higher pledges the only ones which get the wallpapers. Literally the only extra effort in what I listed above, is talking while a camera is on your paper. Everything else included in that list he will already be doing anyway.

Dobbo's Patreon used to have $5 tiers to pledge support for him to update certain comics, but there were no extra rewards and it was not guaranteed he'd work on that comic, it was more of a retarded interest thing

I want also point out that he as no interesting opinions, that seem to be his own. These days he either repeats/rehashes something other SJWs already said, or he simply states his own tastes, like "me no like gritty batman". Sure, there is nothing wrong in not liking something, even if your sole reason for disliking it is "because it is popular".
But this alone is not enough to make a comic out of it. Heck, as we can see, it isn't enough to make a comic out of it, even when you push these thoughts onto a meta level. It's as profound as tweeting: "I don't like this soda everyone is talking about."
Dobson has nothing interesting to say. Dobson has no stable set of opinions. Dobson has no interesting ideas, even if he takes the easy route and mashes to IPs together in a fan-crossover.
Dobson is creatively bankrupt.
In other words:
