I hope someone called, because:
1) If Dobson actually was that mentally unstable, intervention from the authorities and hopefully proper medical assistance will rehabilitate him to be a stable member of society. He'll stop whining for Patreon bux and hopefully become a better person, and we'll never have to hear of his inflated claims of PTSD while he's clammering for Wu-senpai to fuck him, and this train can come to a stop at last.
2) If Dobson is full of shit, the beating he will get from the cops will be NOTHING compared to the litany of shit the Internet will bring down upon him. Andrew Dobson will forever be synonymous with "Fucker that Plays Suicide Card for Asspats." He will be the type of scumbag that Anonymous crushes for a laugh. No one will ever let him live that shit down. No one. Any SJW he attempts to get friendly with will have weens spamming this event to them until Dobson is thoroughly hated by everyone. That smug little bear will forever be a sign of scorn, disgust, and abhorrent stupidity, even more than it already is.
No matter what, it's a win-win. Just wanna say, if it's the latter, Dobson is an colossal fuckwit and deserves everything coming to him.

Would it be wasting police time?
I'm not knowledgeable in law, but a man who, correct me if I'm wrong, has been diagnosed with a mental disorder has made suicide threats on social media.
It would probably be worth looking into.

I haven't been following Dobbie for that much, but I'm guessing this is the first time he's done it.
He's depressed, middle aged, and working a dead-end job.
That sounds like a recipe for an untimely death to me.

If the police do check up on him, I can easily see him spinning this whole affair into "I got swatted by GamerGate! I am your martyr, Wu sempai!" and keep crying about PTSD triggering and needing more Patreon bux to make a full psychological recovery.

I called and they said they'd send someone over. Honestly, at this point I am genuinely concerned. Feel free to rate this post "autistic" or whatever, but I confess I have a guilt complex and I'd feel a heck of a lot better knowing he's okay. I may not like Mr. Dobson, but I don't want to see anyone dead and know that I could have prevented it.

Good on ya man. Best to err on the side of caution with situations like this. I don't like Dobson either, but I don't want to see him commit suicide. Suicide is a pretty serious matter.

Nah mate, it's totally understandable. I would do the same if CoolDudeClem announced he was going to kill himself, but I do imagine that more people called in Nookie Bear's attempt as he's pretty fucking infamous.

I honestly think you did good; Dobbo never pulled the suicide card until today, so this is both new and a decent possibility. That and this does discourage using suicide as a way to escape scrutiny or to pull in resources.

Is good to be cynical but sometimes it does only needs a "bad day" to push someone to a deep end, specially if they have build a lot of resentment or pain.
