Think of all the poor game developers Dobson is triggering with his callous behavior :heart-empty:

Btw I decided to correct his false 'bat-facts'

It's funny, I hear that besides the Batmobile, Arkham Knight is great.

Batman hating guns is a novelty.

As usual, Dobbo hasn't read anything that came out more than a few years ago. Seems to be a common feature among cows.
Even with modern Batman there's still Infinite Crisis:

and Final Crisis:

where Batman uses a gun. Seems like Dobson knows as much about Batman as he does about Skyrim, i.e. nothing.

Well, that and 'PC MASTURR RACE' people bitching...

Man, that drama is something. Some people were suggesting that a good way to get Warner was trying to kill any discussion that was not about how shitty the PC port is (that included consoles).

To be fair, there were special circumstances In Infinite Crisis was about Batman getting in his lowest point as he indirectly helped to create the disaster (and Dick Grayson was supposed to die before every DC comic writer told DanDidio to shove it) and in Final Crisis the idea was that Darkseid was a methapyshical God of evil that was destroying everything by existing so Batman said he was not going to feel bad for breaking his oath to stop him. Also, some Batman fans dislike this parts, specially SJW.

PD: Comics are silly, but I like them.

Última edición:
At least one can argue that a port that is unable to run at more than half speed on computers designed for it is a problem.

Not sure what else the PC crew are being excessive about.

I am convinced that the reason Dobson's got such a hard-on for criticizing Arkham Knight is jealousy, because
A. It's not on a Nintendo system, and B. Its release means that Splatoon will be ignored for the newer, shinier game. Though he hides this jealousy with a mask of SJW concerns, criticism of the Batmobile segments, and the legitimate issues with the PC port, Dobson's just continuing his attitude of "MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES ARE BETTER THAN YOURS!"

That was presented as Batman having to put aside his incredibly deeply held ideals in order to save the universe, though. It's not much of an argument for Batman being totally OK with guns.

I am going to say I actually agree with Dobson on this. Of course, way back in his early days Batman was OK with murder and guns, but I feel that his avoiding them actually makes him more interesting. Frank Miller has always had a vision of Batman as somebody who's totally OK with killing, but I think that's just down to Frank Miller not really understanding why anybody would ever have a problem with killing, because Frank Miller is kind of a fascist. If you have Batman running around with guns shooting people he gets a lot closer to just being your bulk-standard grimdark angsty protagonist as featured in any number of boring, self-consciously gritty books, comics, movies and video games.

It's not surprising at all with Dib Dob. If it's not Nintendo, it's worth bitching at in his eyes.

Jesus, just looking at his retweets makes me cringe, thank god he's not bothering with writing his own tweets about these topics.
I dunno, he has bitched about Nintendo before. So really with him, it's just another excuse to not pick up his pencil and draw something.
Depends: with Nintendo, it seems to be a "Do what I say, so I can throw more money at you" kind of thing. A bit like Chris with his "Change the blue arms NOWNOWNOWNOW!".

Batman usually hasn't used guns, not because of some distaste for guns in particular, but because he usually has some brilliant scheme that doesn't involve guns. The distaste for guns is a recent development, and I believe more connected to the politics of the people who made that change than anything inherent about Batman's character.

Batman will use any means necessary to achieve an end, though, even those that a "nicer" superhero wouldn't, and is a much more ambiguous hero than, say, Superman. It's just that guns are usually pretty straightforward compared to how Batman would usually solve a problem, i.e., by letting his antagonist defeat himself with his own character flaws.

It is a recent development, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. I find it pretty organic. If we are to believe that Batman's parents death is the key to his pysche, it doesn't seem incredibly unbelievable that it would have given him an aversion to firearms, especially when he can achieve the things people usually use firearms for (e.g. taking down his enemies) without them.

Is a legit problem, but some of the PC Crew have acted more like that was a doomdsday event and the consumers were at fault for not bitching more to Warner or journos and for pre ordering the game even if the other people didn't pre ordered or/and we're going for a console version.

It was like a parade of stereotypes of ProGG or PC Elitistism.

Thank god for Steam refunds as that probably made Warner go in damage control and pull out the PC version.
