This bitch, I swear. It is insanely cheap to eat in KY. There's a reason it's full of fat people on government tugboats. Sales tax here is only 6% and junk food is available everywhere for mad cheap.
Did I mishear her, or did she really say this diet plan is good because it's "only" $400 a month and she was spending $800-900 a month before?! Holy shit. Obviously you have to eat a lot to be so fat but I guess I just didn't realize just how much she eats, to think this diet plan is a good deal, financially.
I'm one of those insufferable people who tracks all household expenses in a monthly Excel spreadsheet. I did a little math and it takes about $75 a month to keep a woman the same age and height as Amber (but with a normal weight) fed in my household, maybe $100 a month if it's a special occasion and we're eating out a bit more.
So by her own estimation based on her spending, she's been eating 8-9 times that amount each month. Furthermore, this Optavia thing is still charging her as much money as if she were buying groceries and eating for four.
That's just so insane to me. I'm at the point where her calorie and carb counts don't even phase me anymore, but seeing exactly how much money goes into her mouth each month is somehow still a shock. She spends as much on food in a month as her friendly neighborhood drug addict spends on heroin. She spends enough now to feed a family of four, and when she's not dieting, she eats enough to maintain eight of herself.
That money could go to a real house for her and Becky to own. It could easily cover the cost of health insurance. It could feed a houseful of foster kids, or send a couple of them to college.
Amber is a waste of space in the most literal way. A waste of space, time, money, food, energy. That's all she knows how to do - waste. She can waste anything except for "wasting away." She's doing the opposite of that.
