Moderators have a shit ton of guidelines / policies to learn in order to analyze videos, and there are specific rules/criteria/exceptions about each of them.
There's one policy only about eating disorders. Now, my time at Tiktok's was before the whole Eugenia Cooney shit so maybe some things have changed... but regarding EDs, the simple fact that a creator would mention having one out loud or in text (in the video, description or title) would be enough for a moderator to flag the content. Hell, even just mentioning EDs without even saying if someone has it is enough. If the video isn't removed, it's at least shadowbanned or age-restricted to prevent other users from finding "triggering" content.
Some exceptions can be made but they have to be very specific (example : fatty in a recovery setting talks about the struggles of getting healthy and mentions ED in a recovery context / therapist makes a video to explain in a very neutral way what the disorder is and how to cope with it).
Amber will not be able to hide behind any eating disorder in order to escape accountability on tiktok.
I remember how often TikTok used to update their damn policies so I honestly would not be surprised if they added something similar to youtube in terms of eating content/mukbang. Like "flag this video if you see a big big fatty piling mountains of food on a fork" in the same way there was "flag this video if skelly is bodychecking"
So anyway, my opinion is :
Amber could be shadowbanned over and over everytime she uploads this kind of content. Even strict diets can trigger the Eating Disorder policy from what I remember. Weight loss content is a tricky one.
Now, being shadowbanned isn't as horrible as it sounds : the algorithm will basically hide you from people's FYP (their random feed) whether they're randos or your actual subscribers, and your content will be hard to find even through searches and hashtags. Basically you're not banned, but the platform actively prevents you from gathering an audience. It's usually temporary but can be renewed. It doesn't demonetize creators : however, because of how it impacts traffic, they get less money. And tiktok doesn't pay as much as youtube, from what I gathered.
So our gorl is going to realize soon enough that youtube money was her passion, not making videos, because tiktok will leave her starvin.
