Semaglutide does slow down the digestive system, meaning decomposing food is giving off gases within the intestinal system. Everything gets backed up. It’s a level of gastroparesis (differs between people and is not always reversible when ceasing the medication), which if you’ve never experienced, you can’t appreciate. It’s the slowing of the digestive system that is the mechanism that causes weightloss in people as they become too uncomfortable to eat as they usually do. That being said, Amber is not on a dosage likely to cause her issues.The idea that food is “rotting” in your stomach because digestion is slower is the dumbest take I’ve heard in a while.
