agreed ! yes, there is no records of her being disabled as a child ! none, and all her records indicate that she was a very advanced child and teen. and if she was ''so severely'' disabled from birth, as she liked to claim, she would have never been in gifted programs like that,--- while yes disabled, even severe ones can have gifts, smarts, and talents, they often do, yes. even though many are down played dismissed and overlooked---but even when its maked known, they cannot function in school and community independently ... but she would have never been able to function on her own like she did, she was always able to take care of herself as a child and teen, you know doing self care, making choices, getting food, shopping, socializing with friends, participating in class, normally and independently .

I'm dying to know the details of what made her pass away at an early age. She isn't a good autism advocate. Autism is not terminal. Advocates should be a source of hope but all she provided was false hope by faking being low functioning yet magically being able to do many complex things. Is there a death certificate anywhere online? I'm still skeptical she is really dead. Tweets and wikipedia are unreliable sources.

If you go through the last few pages of her thread, a farmer searched the state database for death certs and she popped up.

A lot of people were doubtful even the one farmer who lives (lived?) in her town and has experienced her in real life.

i know, i feel ya, well i got a pretty good bead on it, and its quite simple: people want to sensational stories, people also want to hear glorious, they want to hear hope, and amanda whether consciously or subconsciously she gave the people what they wanted to hear, and she also changed many many minds as well about pre-conceived notions, which on one hand was good, because so many notions and assumptions about autistic / other disabled people, most folks has is largely inaccurate.... BUT, amanda giving people so much bullshit mixed in with that, and faking being disabled, not cool, not okay or excusable on any level. again, had she just been an advocate / ally for and with the disabled that could have been great, but because she passed HERSELF off as disabled, that ruined everything and did nothing but hurt everyone in the long run .

so i guess, society is partly to blame because its human nature to want to believe that '' beautiful story'' like i said, she told people what they wanted to hear. amanda is largely to blame for the lies and bold misleadings.

I was always very curious as to what her brothers had to say about her, namely the middle child Jeremy who Amanda never spoke of and was said to not really buy her schtick. It'd be interesting to know about their own relationship with Anna, both then and now.

i mean,if she was my relative or classmate, i probably would have followed or kept up with news to a degree, even though i had written her off as far as family or friend went

haha yeah i agree, her mom was so skilled in medical background, and a respiratory therapist, at that, but yet she didnt do anything for her daughter to help her--- that also begs some questions, because if i knew my child self induced medical issues--- or had some legit medical issues but used / milked them, did things to make them worse--- i doubt very seriously id hep them either .

wow! food for thought. that raises a damn good point, yes, i would say that is quite possible, and even based on what amanda told me about her siblings,she told me mostly happy memories, but that was childhood, nothing really past about 13 or so.... i could easily see the brothers just cutting ties completely, especially after seeing amanda doing all this crap and mama supporting it and enabling for he most part

Someone mentioned her younger brother Jeremy (?) wasn't exactly on speaking terms with her because he didn't buy her story. I would love to read more about this, too.
