I can't believe I'm saying this. But the treasure of Hamunaptra looks way better than the Cave of Wonders (Cave of Blunders) and considering The Mummy is from 1999, this cave in the new Aladdin movie should look way better.

Can Disney make anything new at this point? Aren't there a gazillion fairy tales they could adapt to screen instead of sucking blood from the 90s renaissance? The last one they did was the Princess Frog and that was cheap and shitty looking (though ironically it had a budget $80,000,000 more than OG Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, must've gone to cocaine mountains instead of the movie).
 
Why not make a whimsical musical film about Islam during the Crusades and call it Saladdin

Complete with Finding Nemo and Davy Jones cameos because MUH REFERENCES bullshit.

It's all happening because Disney has found a way to make their shameless resurrections and add-ons profitable. Every major Disney classic in the animated past had at least one half-baked sequel that was straight-to-DVD.
 
As long as they leave my personal favorite (The Great Mouse Detective) alone, I think I'll be okay.

But good God this is just lazy but I almost can't blame Disney because audiences are falling for it!

Look at how much money Beauty and the Beast made. Can Emma Watson sing? No. Was it as good as the original in any conceivable way? No. Did they some how manage to add more plot holes to the story? Yes (Teleportation book?). But fuck it, LIVE ACTION REMAKE = MONEY MONEY MONEY.

I got excited because I thought you wrote Davy Crockett.
Also, surprisingly Snow White (and Dumbo I guess) is as far as I know the only true classic to go sequel-less. Doesn't mean ones weren't planned though
 
Kumail Nanjiani would have made a good Genie while giving a different take from Robin William’s version.
 
The reason they don't do anything knew is it sucks when they do that (Looking at you Princess and the Frog)
As for the Teaser? Too early to comment on the Cave of Wonders (that shot was a bit too short so maybe it will long less bad when they have time to show it more?)

Dude, come on. I wouldn''t say Aladdin from the original movie was looking that bad, but this guy is more fitting in 30's setting or our time. Unless arabs had tons of hair gel and pricey barbershops.
