How many plus signs are you?
Is the scheme something like: [big tall list]
Women's sizing is a fucking nightmare, the numbers here don't mean anything and the sizes are all different store to store. Generally, US women's sizing is like this:

Most stores sell straight sizes, some will sell extended sizes, but fewer sell plus sizes. There are some plus size specific retailers like Lane Bryant and Dressbarn that start at XL/XXL, but if you go to a mall and go in any random store chances are good you won't find any plus sizing at all, and any extended sizing is going to be on the "smaller than straight" side. Department stores like Walmart tend to carry more larger extended and plus sizing, but obviously there's a difference between a dedicated clothing retailer and the place you buy your groceries. You don't exactly find a prom dress or outfit for a date at Walmart.
When I found the black girl store, I was a 2X and had been since high school. I was used to assuming stores wouldn't have my size and that it wasn't worth getting my hopes up to look. I think I was looking for a necklace or something when I went in, then I saw the clothes were affordable and they had all the way up to 5Xs that were ACTUAL 5Xs! (a lot of the time, things that say they're 1X+ are actually some kind of alternate straight size and they're only an XL, or they're Chinese sizes and they're a L or M, it's confusing and stupid and it's why shopping for clothes makes me want to kill myself.) Dressbarn and Lane Bryant are okay, but they're expensive as hell. This place was actually within a normal price range for me, which is why I went so often when I did.
I'm not so racist I wouldn't shop there again, especially if I could buy a Melanin Queen T-shirt to be annoying lmao, but the one in Milwaukee closed. I only went to the local one once before my life changed and I no longer had a reason to wear nice clothes. The last time I had to wear a nice dress, I was forced to buy my dress from a specific retailer and they didn't have my right size anyway. Fucking figures.
