Adult novelty items - Unnecessary things that just make life more fun - NO SEX TOYS, we have a thread for that

I also checked out the site because of this thread and was disappointed that they didn't have any of the fun flavors, but I did go ahead and get Cocoshine Lychee Breeze and Boka Cherry Blossom from Amazon. And also some fluoride rinse because I don't trust fluoride free toothpaste. Both flavors are really good, cherry blossom wasn't overly perfumey, just lightly sweet cherry flavor, and the lychee is a little more flavorful but kind of a generic tropical fruit rather than being distinctly lychee flavor. The flavors don't linger in the mouth but my mouth does feel clean and fresh without being minty. I'd probably just buy kid's strawberry toothpaste instead, but I'm intrigued by the remineralization claims so I'll shell out for this stuff. You use such a small amount that the tubes should last a good while.

If you like liccorice flavor, Tom's of Maine used to make a fennel flavored fluoride toothpaste that I really liked, but they stopped and inly the fluoride free was available. Not sure if they still make it.

i just use the strawberry baby flavor :( novelty toothpaste sounds really fun
There's still Marvis toothpaste; just check the label if you find it IRL because the design is super busy and they make most flavors with/without fluoride. I love licorice, but the one that regular people whom I talk to about toothpaste seem most impressed by is Black Forest. I had a tube terminally borrowed by the family member I said "hey try this toothpaste" to, but if someone does that then you know what to get them next Xmas, problem solved.

If you want fluoride but not mint, @Accept Only Substitutes can point you at really good chocolate toothpaste from a brand that didn't fly too close to the sun like Hismile.

Me too; it's the future already, damnit. I have a tube of Boka as my bedtime toothpaste for that reason; next up is Teenocent basil/lemon N-Ha toothpaste.

I did a sneak peek, though, and it's a really nice flavor. Almost un-sweet, and way more basil than lemon, but not medicinal.

I’ve been having so much trouble with my coffee lately, no matter how I adjust my recipe or what brand I use, it’s just got a “weird” taste to it.

I used to, using the same machine and coffee brands, drink coffee hot and at room temperature. Now I can barely make it through half a cup of hot.

So I figure it might be the machine itself. Even after cleaning it with both vinegar and a commercial cleaner solution.

So I bought a French press. No heating elements. No glass carafe. I have a kettle, because I’m a Cultured American.

This French press. I’m a sucker for rainbow/oil slick. Wish me good coffee frens. It arrives tomorrow.

Try filtering your tap water. There's a ton of different shit that happens between the reservoir and you receiving it, and any variation can really affect the taste at the end,

I have a reverse osmosis filter that I use for all my drinking water. My local water usually tastes awful and I got tired of buying water. The problem exists after having the filters changed too.

It’s not terribly expensive I paid about that for the crappy coffee maker I’m replacing. I bought the 12 oz one, because that’s all I need.

And these are the top two reviews. Both old ones updated in 2025-2026, both saying they are well made. Honestly it was the reviews that sold me on it. Anything that has two recently updated reviews still singing its praises is a unicorn of quality in these days.
