No, it was not a dive at all. Let someone hit you twice like that and you'll more than likely go down. I do think them hyping it up like they did was a bit of a larp, but that's just sort of the game of this influencer boxing shit. But the fight was very real, that was the best highlight of the event. Sam was the draw and is just by factors of ten better than andy at it, but I don't think it was a dive at all. Now, keem and the folks putting the boxing match on, absolutely knew how bad andy would do.
I'm sort of mixed on the entire thing, i thought it would be some horrible event with a bunch of clowns, but it was actually pretty damn entertaining. I enjoyed the couple of hours, no 30 minute time sink between the matches, fairly good matches (the last one was dogshit), the only drawback for me was the ref was way too worried about the fighters, but i suppose this wasn't some legit boxing event, it was a bunch of social media jokers punching each other in the face.
Andy was way too tense, way too scared really. No chance he was gonna win against anyone like that, but I think salt papi looked really good. Most folks will just glaze over his skill and laugh at andy getting knocked out by some fat mixed meat gook, but salt papi looked really good in that, and andy just didn't know what the fuck was going on. Sad, i wanted to see him throw a few punches. He probably trained a couple hours a week, maybe an hour two or three days, but he wasn't doing multi hour training sessions, he wasn't doing much but probably hitting some weights and sparring a little. Ofc he was eating and drinking and probably doing other drugs, he had no chance at all with that alone. I don't think he took it serious at all, and it really showed by how scared he was in the ring. It was probably good for andy to get fucking wrecked like this, he needs to spar more adn realise that other guy is looking to take him the fuck out quickly. If he can somehow learn from this one, it will benefit him.
I will say i'm surprised he handled it so well and was laughing and poking fun at himself after, even if the twitter video was mostly cope about being kayfabe or whatever.
It was an influencer event, they can't have the influencers getting hurt that badly, and i'm sure the CTE thing might come into play. A few of the matches were stopped like this, the ref was overly cautious.
