2025 US and Venezuela Conflict - Operation Just Cause 2: 2 Just 2 Cause

🚨 U.S. Eases Sanctions on the BCV, Allowing Delcy Rodríguez's Regime to Reconnect with the Global Financial System

The United States Department of the Treasury, through its Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), issued two new general licenses this Tuesday that expand sanctions relief for Venezuela. This allows the Delcy Rodríguez regime to access oil revenues and reconnect with the international financial system.

🔹 General License No. 56

This license authorizes companies and individuals to negotiate commercial contracts with the Government of Venezuela, including preliminary agreements, memoranda of understanding, and proposals in response to public tenders. This measure enables U.S. and international companies to advance negotiations with the regime without violating current sanctions, although the execution of any contract will still require separate authorization from OFAC.

🔹 General License No. 57

This authorizes financial service transactions with four Venezuelan state banking institutions:

  • Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV)
  • Banco de Venezuela
  • Banco Digital de los Trabajadores
  • Banco del Tesoro
The license covers a wide range of operations, including:

  • Opening and closing accounts.
  • Funds transfers (ACH and Wire).
  • Correspondent banking services in U.S. dollars.
  • Remittances and debit/credit card payments.
  • Foreign exchange operations.
Both licenses were signed by OFAC Director Bradley T. Smith and take effect immediately.

🔹 Important Restrictions

The licenses include strict limitations:

  • Exclusions: GL 56 expressly excludes any transaction involving entities or persons linked to Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Cuba, as well as entities controlled by citizens or companies from the People's Republic of China.
  • Prohibitions: Individuals listed on OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list remain excluded.

As of 14 April 2026, Chevron has expanded its position in Venezuela through an asset swap with PDVSA, increasing its stake in the Petroindependencia joint venture to 49% and gaining development rights for the Ayacucho 8 block. This deal allows Chevron to expand its heavy oil operations in the Orinoco Belt, representing a significant long-term commitment following increased U.S. investment opportunities in the country.

I wonder percentage wise, what are the odds the USA admin decides to say "fuck it" and leave Delcy indefinitely and forget all about regime change.

Its definitely not zero and each week it grows a bit more.

With each day that the Iran shit is not resolved. The "We can deal with it later" mentality will grow.

i mean , they could call elections anytime, if they do that right know they would be held with the same poisoned electoral registry and electoral authority controlled by chavismo, there has been zero effort to reform it and purge it as of today. Its a bit hard to imagine Trump would look the other way if Delcy steals an election but with how spineless the opposition has shown to be and how little of a case Maria Corina is making for herself it might come down to a coin toss.

First phase of the Three-Phase transition strategy has oficially ended, according to Marco Rubio
In early April, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Venezuela had already passed the stabilization stage and was in a recovery phase. Rubio noted that the next stage for the country will be a transitional phase, which will include holding free and fair elections. “This moment must come, but we must be patient“, the US Secretary of State said at the time.

Its still amazing how clean the whole Venezuela operation was. To think it was only almost four months ago that it happened.

Iran was never going to be as clean as Venezuela but that's going better then people like to admit. Besides Cuba, which countries does Trump have left to pressure into being more favorable to the US?

Venezuela involved bribing a lot of people to hand Maduro over. There's a lot of spin and bullshit in the story they just swept in one night out of no where and took him.

The war with Iran is also completely different. They don't want new leadership that is friendlier. That's the lie with this war. They want to destroy Iran as a country. The same way they did in Libya and Syria. So they can't just bribe people to betray the current ruling class. They have to destroy the civilisation.

Syria is doing pretty good, the Kurds were buckbroken and the only hiccup is a Druze city that's run by a drug lord and is surrounded by a wall of Israeli bombers

I've seen that Rubio and the State Department made some moves against Nicaragua with sanctions recently, so that might be next on the list after Cuba and the question of Mexico still exists.

It helps that the Chavistas were pretty spineless, their ideology never really had religious fervor like you see with Muslims, especially the crazier aspects of Shia Islam unique to the guys running Iran.

National Guard Colonel José de Jesús Gámez has been released after spending more than 13 years in prison.

It would be the first release of a military officer.

Diosdado is entering his Buckbroken era. Talking about how the Judicial system is flawed, and that the judges are corrupt, saying that many of them will be arrested or fired.
Delcy talking about reforming the whole legal system.
