Well if this is Chris dealing with real gender dysphoria, then I wish him all the best (edit: if he does indeed actually try to transition). He's lucky that he does not identify as a straight trans woman as that can be a very difficult road especially in the south.

I know Chris doesn't deal with steps in life like most people. Given that, I just assumed his constant talk of having a "lesbian soul" meant he already was (in his own way) identifying as a woman.

I guess it'll be an eternal transition, since he will never be able to afford the money or pass the tests needed for the surgery, hormone therapy, etc.

On one hand, Chris has been trying bizarre lesbian antics in order to get women—which is awful in itself if Catherine is actually still in play—and so Chris finally coming out as a women just seems like the next logical step in the increasing desperation.

On the other hand, as Katsu said in the other thread, Chris does show a lot of legitimate symptoms of dysphoria and the lovequest might coincidentally be a vehicle so that Chris is finally able to manifest the true feelings regarding gender.
