I never had to wear a beret but you'll come to hate every one of your uniforms except whichever is the easiest to take care of.I find berets cool![]()
I'm afraid this girl won't be the same when I meet her now.
That program has the highest suicide rate of the entire militarySo far she's being trained on a Destroyer class ship and says that all they've made her do is hard manual labor. She describes the engine room as being so hot, the pipes emit heat like when you open an oven. This sounds like a far cry from making sure the needle doesn't tilt into "imminent explosion". She's been so fucked up by how bad the academy has treated her and how she had no help from any of the teachers or officers over the last 2 years. How much more of this shit can a 21 year old girl take before she becomes some sort of fucking mental case that the government wont pay to fix?

She has it easy actually it's common to work 18 hour days for months
They officially unofficially promise that shit. So the government forces them to do the lying for them and then gets whatever it wants from you and blames the recruiter. The recruiter is the biggest piece of shit on the face of the planet though because he's a man who wants to live in his home town, wants to act like a civilian. Pretty much wants all the things recruit candidates have... except he doesn't want to face the horrible job prospects he'll have... so he helps put other people in the same situation, and lies right to their fucking face. The only people quite as foul on this planet are women's studies professors. Basically the military is not worth it... but if you must try.. pick an easy job, lots of paperwork, or a job where you give people what they need but don't work with food. Supply, barber, something like that... the stupider job the better. If you're a barber life is good it's like the only job worth having only a few jobs in the military will help you as a civilian and those that will will give you incredibly unpleasant work.you can blame recruiters for promising stuff
Also Null's girlfriend has had so many dicks in her by now. Wow just wow. When I was on deployment there were barely any women and half of them were married. Every one of them got dick. Nautical miles of dick. One even had to have a "secret" abortion. We're talking like 2 or 3 women... and like 100x as many dicks.
EDIT: Had to change to nautical miles. Silly me.
EDIT EDIT:
Good question!!! Let's find out!How much more of this shit can a 21 year old girl take before she becomes some sort of fucking mental case that the government wont pay to fix?
Personnel deployed more than 180 days were more likely to have PTSD than those deployed for shorter durations. Further, personnel deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan were more likely to have PTSD than those not deployed under OEF/OIF, with the largest effect observed among Navy members (OR=9.06).
You know those guys who have seen too much and accidentally killed babies? They're probably better adjusted than your girlfriend will be by the end of the upcoming military fiscal year!Examples of non-combat, deployment-related stressors included excessive heat or cold, lack of privacy, problems with supervisors and inadequate availability of supplies or equipment.
- The variable in the study that had the strongest association for screening positive for PTSD was non-combat, deployment-related stressors. In fact, this category was more strongly associated with PTSD than was combat exposure.
