Once again this is Jack being a fucking moron. When I was in college at a different state in a somewhat popular city a decade ago, I would go to McDonalds and eat inside to kill some time between my classes—always at around the lunch rush hour. I’m sure if there was data present that tallied the amount of drive thru customers and walk in/sit and stay customers during certain intervals there would always be a roughly 90/10 split. From my own personal experience there may have been four other tables occupied along with mine. Of course cars were going pass the drive thru window consistently. Wasn’t the main premise of the drive thru was that so parents who were getting off (late) from work could pick something up for their family and bring it home?? Factor in numerous other reasons why people would want to use the drive thru and yeah, walking in and sitting inside to eat has been obsolete for a while. I actually went to a McDonalds in a small town prior to the pandemic “mass hysteria” and I was the only one sitting in there until a small group of high school kids entered.
