How.... what's the difference between a racist joke and an observational joke here, Phil? Look, Philbert, I don't care if you're a racist. I don't care if your race jokes are offending only because they are boring. Saying a black woman will steal your backpack because she's black is as much an observation (on your part) as it is a racist "joke".
