Teen Titans Go Hatedom

I suppose the irony here is that a lot of DC fans hated the first Teen Titans cartoon with a passion, because it wasn't like the 'real' Teen Titans from the comics, it was cartoony, had more jokes/humor, pseudo-anime styling and a jovial theme song.

It's like when Friendship is Magic first came out and got popular, there were these sects of Gen 3 Bronies that nobody really knew or cared about until Gen 4 came out and they started sperging.

I mean who gives a fuck about any of it? There were also the grimdark Batman fans who sperged over Brave and the Bold back in 2008, even though it was a close reimagining of the classic Silver Age Batman, they couldn't appreciate anything that wasn't their favorite dark version of Batman, even though it was a throwback to the history of the character and should have been liked by True and Honest Fans.

When did this exactly start, anyway? I don't remember comic Batman fans shitting themselves in rage over the Adam West TV Batman, even though it was goofy and campy. I also don't remember any Adam West Batman spergs losing their shit over the new dark Batman.

As it stands, when Adam West's Batman was on the air the comics were even campier. When Tim Burton's film came out, most of the Adam West Batman fans were adults who knew better than to whine about it.

I actually do agree with the hatedom. It truly is a terrible show.

Yeah, the 00's Teen Titans show wasn't liked by comic fans. All of this being said, I can actually sort of appreciate the people who work on it being openly hateful of fans and disliking the source material. Like, they watch the original series in order to write ideas in Go that would piss off fans the most and ruin the most "headcanons" and shit. It takes dedication.

That said, the hatedom still astounds me with their stupidity towards a kids show. The fact that some of them have outright wanted to kill the people behind it makes me wonder how many of them are simply junior sycophants just waiting to "grow up".

Teen Titans Go might have bothered me more had it not aired seven or eight years after I stopped caring about the original show. But then eight years is only about six months in autism years.

These people who waste their time hating on a series they don't like is rather stupid. They're not in the targeted age group for this anyway and it's done in a style where most Superheroes had that dark age of when they were suddenly campy and stupid.

I hate TTG with a passion. I think it's truly a slap in the face to fans of the original series. At the same time though they are trying to appeal to a new crowd which I can accept.

Grew up with the old show so not a fan but I knew to stop after half an episode, anyone dumb enough to keep watching this shite deserves everything they get. It's like those dicks who ran around saying "Screw the kids going to see Toy Story 3, thats OUR generations movie"....grow the fuck up, even if you were a kid when the show/franchise started doesn't mean everything made for it now that you're an adult still has to appeal to you. If you don't like it, don't watch it and don't insult people who do because the old version was better in your eyes.
(And yes I know Toy Story isn't an amazing example cos Pixar are god and the film was great for adults but I legit heard people being pissed off that kids went to the movie because it was 'their generations movie')
