That being said, I'll still support Phil in other ways. Perhaps switching to Patreon, doing the $50 tier twice a year, and then for the rest of the months tip the difference of the $50.

I know I can't maintain the current activity; that $1,400 relief check cushion did help though.

It would, but he's Phil, so it could just as easily be stupidity, or refusal to face the facts out of fear. He is sensitive to bad news, especially the kind that is really difficult to pin the blame on someone else for.

Presumably it's at least one reason. For his sake, it better not be the ONLY one, because if it is, we can look forward to more slip-ups like that, since it means his tolerance of staying silent is coming to an end. That's not good news for him.

Remember, he may be addicted to gacha, but what got him INTO it to begin with was flexing. He absolutely gets off on being a high ranked whale in mobile games, there's a reason he didn't go dark until sweet deranged Nigel chased him into the shadows. He may not have been posting on easily-accessible forums like with previous games, but he was still quite chatty, on Discord, as we all know, until Nigel put an end to that fun. Then he moved to LINE, then he had to keep his droopy mouth shut.

That HAS to have been killing him this whole time. If I'm right, we haven't seen the last of his ill-advised taunting.

I wonder if that is part of DSP's false pandering. When he first came over, he mentioned that he was tired of having to be so careful around Twitch's TOS. I wonder if this change in behavior comes from his mod. Why else would he do such an abrupt about face? Just a thought. Probably not an original one.

Am I? Not protecting him. Nothing can protect Phil. The only thing that guides Phil is greed and his need to fill his desires. Kinggoken might be giving him advice he trusts. The Twitter virtue signaling, that weird prestream rant where he explained that fan art.

It all seems like somebody is handling him. Its the only thing that makes sense is that a long time mod gives him the inside track on what he can do to protect himself for the short term. If it came any other time and gradually, then I could believe he made a change in his point of views. It would have also had to come from someone like Kinggoken for Dave not to tell him to fuck off. Again, just my take.
 
He had a handler on Twitch once as well, Hassan, and it's thought that the loss of him is the reason Phil finally paid some consequences for being a blight on the platform. May have also played into how smugly he felt "unkillable" there, since that came to a spectacular end with his de-partnering. So naturally if Phil has that attitude again on a different platform, it makes sense that someone else is giving him that option. Phil never really stands on his own two feet, never even tries to. That's why he always waits until everyone else is already throwing shit at somebody before he joins in.
