I've heard him say this several times and he just repeated it on the pre-stream. Does anyone know what he's talking about when he says YouTube chat is not actually a chat, but a "running comments section"?

Because it’s not a persistent chat, it’s locked to that specific stream just like comments sections.

He expects people to talk to him directly. But when they do he he insults them, tells them to talk about something relevant to the game then ignores them when they talk about the game. So stream chat talks to each other and makes comments on how shit he is. Which is chatting.

He's tarded. My first wife was tarded, she's a streamer now.

It's just DSP playing his usual fence sitting semantics. It would be a chat if he would talk to the 10 people there but he doesn't. He wants dollar signs attached. Free interaction? *Angry snort* nyhuhuh. The dude barely acknowledges the super chats because its not instant money.

Which is so unbelievably stupid, because Phil knows that when he doesn't have to wait on receiving money, it virtually guarantees that it's going to get spent frivolously in about five minutes.

I used to think he deliberately relied upon those Twitch checks for paying actual bills. But he's making me eat those words now. There was never anything purposeful about it. That's just what happens when Phil doesn't get immediate money. THIS is what he actually wanted that whole time: the option to burn through his money like an idiot in a candy store. Every fucking day.
"The whole company behind E3... has basically become greedy."
Ah, the lack of self awareness
Phil is not oblivious when he's being hypocritical. He's just ignoring the hypocrisy because 1) he has no honor, and 2) he's a slave to his emotions. People doing a better job of being greedy grifting shit-heads make him jealous, so he lashes out, and disregards whatever he has to in order to satiate his childish need to cast envious aspersions.

It was more than that--something like 10%. You can figure out how much based on what the house sold for (zillow should suffice) and what the original amount of the loan was (bankruptcy docs).

Edit: Ouch. $102/200 with $49 from "anon".
Oh, okay. From the Bankruptcy FAQ thread under Phil's debts it says the amount he started paying off the mortgage at was $251,750 and I thought the purchase price was $265,000. $265,000 × 0.05 = $13,250 and $265,000 - $13,250 = $251,750 so I thought that meant he only put 5% down on the Wakando, but I'm not very familiar with these things :stress:

"Uhh E3 isn't even working this year dood their streams, uh, you need to lahg in through a portal or something nyuhuhuh and no one is even watching them." - Phil in the background tab as I wait alongside 130k other people in E3's twitch channel for this fucking UbiSoft disappointment to start. No portal log in necessary, I don't know what the fuck he's talking about.

Indeed

I'm asking cause I saw a superchat with .99c. Why superchat .99c?
YouTube takes 30% of Superchats and memberships so his take presumably would be ~70 cents.

I assume there's some sort of minimum in effect, otherwise troll tippers should be dropping 1 cent for their dumbass messages.

FYI the lowest amount I've seen Superchatted so far was 27 cents, in the form of 20 Indian Rupees.

Honestly I don't understand people who keep throwing so much money at Phil. Obviously from my perspective it's better to keep him right on the edge of profitability. This is where the best content and drama comes from. This is the only time I care about him.

However, even as a superfan, it's not wise to allow him to make $10.000 a month. This just means that he can care less, stream less if he wants to and overall feel more independent. They probably don't realize how much money he actually makes but this is just counter-productive in the long run really.

envious aspersions.
That would be a great band name
