The armor they've shown so far looks really promising. The only question I have right now is how the player can earn the armor. Not to mention the individual "coatings" you need to get as well. I consider myself lucky because all I want is a blue/grey coloring, which looks like will happen.I like the look of those armors. The one in the back with what looks to be some kind of ghillie suit or hood gives me faith that customization will be robust.
Depending on what game you're playing, you're more or less likely to get stomped. 3/4/Reach can be less punishing, but CE/2 are almost exclusively played by people who've played for years.Just got my Xbox SeX and got Halo MCC on game pass ultimate. I used to love halo 3 back in the day and I managed to reach 50 skill in lone wolves, team slayer, and the MLG playlist. Fast forward to today having not played since and I fucking SUCK. Apologies to anyone who matches on my team. Other than that though, really fun game so far.
It looked like Commando at first to me, but maybe it is CQC. Can't say for sure except that it doesn't look like a 4/5 eyesore, which is all that matters.Eva [C] and Scout is obvious, but what's the second from left? It looks like CQC with the CBRN.
I hope if they're fixing up Halo 2 they'll finally fix the NVIDIA classic graphics buds, like the missing plants and sun on Cairo Station.
LASOs are the only thing I have left in the MCC to do, and I've kept putting them off until I found someone to co-op through them all. I know some parts are easier to do solo, but I'd rather not have to constantly save/quit every time I die in order to keep progressing, especially in Halo 2. Those load times are obnoxious, and when added up over assuredly hundreds of deaths, I'd spend more time in loading screens than actually playing the game.Considering they're giving an armor set to people who reached max rank in Halo 5, I really hope they do something similar for whoever gets all the achievements in the MCC. Hell, even doing all the LASOs, some sort of reward for people who busted their balls.

Here's more, they all come from the Mega Contrux site, just play the vids to hear the music.Supposedly some more of Infinites OST leaked. Could just be some guy faking it but it sounds pretty good, really reminds me of something from Halo 3 or 2, if it is real I'm happy the composers finally learned that Halos soundtrack should not just be strings constantly.

It resembles the basic shape and silhouette of the Covenant Carbine with a Banished twist to it. Pretty cool looking, in my opinion. What the hell's that weapon the upper right Spartan is holding?
The glow at the end looks similar to the light rifle, but the body looks more like Covenant/Banished design.
Fusion rifle? or perhaps a hybrid between it and the Covie carbine? What the hell's that weapon the upper right Spartan is holding?

If I can groove to it, it's a good Halo song, so good on the composer.Supposedly some more of Infinites OST leaked. 4 had pretty nice songs, especially the ones playing during the final mission, but not having the Halo theme sucked.Out of everything so far with Infinite the soundtrack is probably the thing I'm most happy with. I actually liked 4's soundtrack because it was totally unique and didn't even try to be like Marty's stuff at all, which I actually kind of respected. But 5's was just generic hollywood shit that sounded like it came straight from a marvel movie, and I barely even remember it. Infinite's actually sounds like it's trying to evoke Halo, even in the wholly original tracks. Obviously nothing's ever going to be as good as Marty's stuff but I feel like it's been pretty close.
According to Marty it's because of some legal shit caused by MS still owning part of Bungie, Marty still having shares in Bungie and his lawsuit against them.4 had pretty nice songs, especially the ones playing during the final mission, but not having the Halo theme sucked.
Not sure why they haven't tried to approach Marty to make some music (especially after the way Bungie dumped his ass during Destiny's development), but Infinite seems to be invoking his style very well. Between that and the art style being closer to the Bungie games, it seems that 343 has learned not to make Halo "their own" too much (although I hope stuff like the Mantis, Railgun, and SAW stay, those were cool additions).
I don't necessarily begrudge 343 for wanting to leave their mark on the Halo series, or possibly to want to do a firm delineation between Bungie's older games and their newer ones. But they took it in such a radical new direction right off the bat that it was hard for fans not to be thrown for a loop. So many changes made to the visual style in just two years between Reach and 4's releases (or one if you include CE Anniversary's graphical changes), it was like you ended up in an entirely different series altogether. And to go from the somewhat grounded look of the Bungie games to practically anime style was jarring to say the least. Probably part of what turned me off from Halo shortly afterward.4 had pretty nice songs, especially the ones playing during the final mission, but not having the Halo theme sucked.

Speaking as someone that enjoyed 4 and thought 5 had good multiplayer, I think 343 should've taken more after The Coalition when they took over Gears of War. Making a "safe" sequel to show they they know how the series ticks, and following that up with a more "experimental" sequel to put their flair on the series (while not straying too far, having a sequel like Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts would be jarring).I don't necessarily begrudge 343 for wanting to leave their mark on the Halo series, or possibly to want to do a firm delineation between Bungie's older games and their newer ones. It's a bummer that it took them this long to finally course correct and get back to a more traditional style, but better late than never, I guess. If they're serious about getting back to their roots, then maybe Infinite will prove to be part of a Halo renaissance, just in time for its 20th birthday. The MCC's PC release has done a lot to get people interested in the series again, as well as their continued support over the past couple years. I've been burned by 343 before, but they're slowly making me optimistic.
That's not a bad thing. I'd rather have 343 make "just a Halo game" than try to follow the latest trend that they can't even deliver. The gist of it is that it's going to be better, but not mindblowing or anything. It's just going to be "more Halo". It'll probably please Halo fans but for normies, it may be disappointing
