I don't think Phil will even die in RE8 because on normal difficulty at least it really babies you. I am about 6 hours into the game and I have not died once and I am beginning to think it is not possible to die if you have health pots on you.

It appears that no matter how much health you have you will go into a strawberry jam screen mode and be prompted to take your herbal medicine, and as is typical of survival horror games the enemies allow you the time to heal. So as long as you don't run out of supplies I don't think you have to worry about much (apart from getting stuck, I had a DSP moment and somehow got myself jammed between Madam Freddy Fingers and the corner of a door and got wacked a ton before I slipped out).

Gone are the days where you have to look at your health and decide if you want to use a limited resource to heal or push on into the red a bit further (again maybe higher difficulties are different).

It's not just RE8 it's just about every triple-A game now. It seems like difficulty is being negated in order to sell more or be more accessible. Instead what happens is there is less satisfaction in games because of it. Also, the game is not really scary, yes I jumped a few times at the vamp chicks but the majority of the time I never felt in any real danger. This also plays into the health thing you were talking about, since you can tank so much stuff it ruins the tension. The environments and character models are gorgeous but it's a shame the gameplay is easy and the boss fights are simple. I wonder what Piggy will say, lol maybe he will say "it's a mixed bag" like every game he plays.
 
Uh oh! Jaxx_Raxor only found just $25 to give to Panhandlin' Pig Roach. With just two tips in 1 hour of stream time, we are in store for a salty night. DSP won't ever threaten to ditch SF streams so we'll probably just get straight to the "I can't pay my mortgage" part of the begging.
 
Personally I'm reminded of the kind of pigs that can find truffles. It's essentially the same thing with the pigroach but instead of desperately snorting for truffles he's snorting for dollars to then snort for jockstrap jpegs. it's particularly bad now because winter's coming and having your main financial source cut off while feeding a crippling addiction is pretty terrible.
 
Lets see if he threatens to wagequit SF. There's always a whale waiting for Friday to carry the stream, but today has been incredibly slow.
He clearly does not enjoy it because of the lag and the trolls with the pig picture stalking him in every lobby, only reason he puts up with it is because of the whales, but they're not showing today. He quits games for way fucking less than this.

This kind of stream really shows phil doesn't actually care about or understand the needs/wants of the audience- "Hey everyone the lobbies and internet connections have been terrible all night... also tips have been really slow too". Okay maybe the second thing you're saying has something to do with the first part. Why would people be entertained and feel like tipping during a stream with bad lobbies and sitting in menus all night? Does he really think jumping in and out of lobbies all stream and staring at menus is entertaining and deserves to be rewarded?
 
He said when he was playing in the arcade 13yo and beating people in 20s is when he realized he loves SF.
Massive doubt.

EDIT: We entered the begging every 5 minutes segment of the stream.

Its the slowert SF stream...

The streams were only running at, say, 28.5% top speed?

I like to think about how excited Phil must get when he sees "JAXX_RAXOR HAS TIPPED..." on his laptop screen, only to be immeasurably disappointed when it's a measly $25.
