an interesting question isn't the capacity for the whales to pay. does phil have that stamina to beg essentially nonstop to hit those goals? especially for a less motivated base, since they can no longer sub, use emotes, or bits.
The NieR raids and several other fights needed to progress in the story are forced multiplayer. You also cannot grind by yourself and outgear/outlevel since the game syncs you to said content level.

From my experience every workplace has a "straight shooter" guy that Phil imagines himself to be that isn't afraid to call out the managers on their shit. However, those straight shooters always had 2 things in common: They shittalked within reason and didn't just complain but offered an alternative solution, they'd say something like "Yeah sorry boss, but this plan just won't work in a million years and here's why" and not "you stupid fucking booksmart nudnik you should lose your jahb and have to survive begging on the street duhuhuh". The second thing was that they were great workers and if we know anything we know that Phil is a lazy, shitty worker who won't even put the minimum required effort into anything.
