There's something wrong with games for the past few years.
The story writing is a lot worse. The play areas are starting to blur together and are boring and forgettable.
I don't know what it is, but for the last 4-5 years I've gotten bored with their pretentious, over-blown, melodramatic, 4th grade philosphy drop-out, predictable story lines. They just aren't interesting.
The RPG's are having less options and less... I don't know... game, maybe, then 80's SSI Goldbox AD&D games.
Even Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3 bored the fuck out of me.
There's something wrong with games, and Cyberpunik 2077 is a symptomic terminal patient that shows us that there's something wrong.
It's not just hype, it's everything, it's nothing, it's something I can't put my hand on.
And it's kind of the reason that I'm not really interested in buying any games any more.
