the guy streaming has the worst music playing i cant get through it to see the melt down :(
Music already appears to be copyright-striken, at least from US-based IP. What was there?
The meltdown itself is not really that interesting, just seems that a person streaming was trying to blame everyone else for their mistakes.

They don't start screaming, they're being bitches. It's whining, whining and more whining. Much like a child throwing a tantrum when they don't what they want.

My teammates hold me back and keep me in bronze

i skipped to like 3hrs and that’s when the girl, rin, was complaining the loudest about everyone not knowing the mechs right away. the guy told her to shut up multiple times during it.

Great community, this game has.

A+ lol

>pander to the hardcore crowd
>they still bitch anyway
>decide to start pandering to the roleplay crowd instead
>they still bitch anyway, but at least they'll keep forking over money for new cash shop glamours.

Sometimes you just can't exactly win, Yoshida. Aside from milking the cash cow for all its worth. That's a dub at least.

Colored me shock. The circlejerk with known crazies such as Howard Moon. Of course they're all just whining autists. Also I laughed when they tried comparing toxic casuals and other shit to not pushing a grocery cart back to the store or where they go on mogtalk. These retards are out of touch with reality.

Yea, that's when all the whining happens. I think I timestamped it? Maybe I did it wrong. The guy is right though.

Yoshida I think is really sick of the whining from the hardcore crowd. That's why you don't get balance changes until the patch drops anymore.

Last time he addressed that crowd, I think I posted about it. He straight up tells Scholar players to stop dumping their stacks to DPS instead of healing, and he tells Bards that he can't buff them more/give them songs back or they'll be broken. He's usually not that direct and I think he's done.

Was a lot of whining around Eden's Verse designer commentary. For example, the designers intended for chain lightning on Ramuh Savage to be solved by two squares of 4 players. Part of the community spammed pepes and blobs over because "How could you be so stupid? Circle is best uptime". There was also a lot of autism around the portal mechanics, the developer absolutely needed to make every portal combination 100% random so it can be "real difficulty". Anyone familiar with game development understands that some things get left on the cutting floor.

I've seen a lot of stupid napkin diagrams from people obsessing over uptime because one mechanic might have a person miss a GCD, the drama. It's been quite tiresome. A lot of the strategies involve very annoying movement or screwing over someone so that someone else can have more uptime. All these autists call their strats "100% uptime guaranteed/potential".

Ah yes, the shopping cart example. Doing an optimal rotation in a video game is the same as being courteous to other grocery store patrons.

I've bellyached plenty already in this thread about my own experiences with my former group of friends, and that's basically what our "strategy" attempted to consist of way back when with Creator Savage. We don't understand the fundamental mechanics? Who cares, plan around maximizing uptime as much as possible. We can't possibly clear even with a fundamental understanding of the mechanics because we just can't pass the DPS checks without maximizing our uptime! It's totally not because our Bard has been consistently sandbagging literally every single run! Everyone else has to make up for this one shitter that literally nobody actually cares about, but it's too much of a hassle to comb through our server to find a replacement! (Back before cross-world PF was a thing, mind.)

I don't think those dudes ever grew out of the MAXIMIZE UPTIME mindset either, truth be told.

Since some others showed off their characters, I guess I will too.

Sorry for the shitty quality. I play on console so I had to improvise.

here’s mine

i usually play miqo’te, but i switched to auri for a bit.

oh yeah he’s 100% right. she was being a cunt for no reason.
“i had to rebuild the entire static during the last tier! people don’t understand advance mechs!!” obviously you don’t either since you fudged them up as well.

I really don't understand this "maximize uptime" autism. The way (((hardcore))) players tell it, missing a GCD is an ultimate sin and you should be crucified for it.

Nevermind that a live player is better than a dead one and no amount of uptime is gonna save the group if half of them is dead

I'm still a long ways off from Eden but I want to be able to enjoy the story when I get there and not worry about strategies. Is it possible that I could PUG it on Normal mode?

I've had to redmage res more parties in 5.4 at Seat of Sacrifice than any of the Eden Promise stages. You should be fine.
edit: don't sleep on the starlight quests this year

I cleared E11S. I'm enjoying this raid tier so far. Lots of fun mechanics that keep you on your toes. The E11S DPS check is a bit on the rough side though. There aren't many complicated mechanics, but if you don't play cleanly, you're not clearing.

That's been a challenge with NA players because all they know is "uptime", which usually translates to "I play like shit but I want to be closer to the boss to inflate my parse". There's been also a lot of whining about doing optimal DPS to outright skip mechanics at the end of fights (so we can get to parsing instead of playing the video game).

So I played 14 with some friends a few months ago, and decided to start again since they've kept up with it.

I'm currently a Miqote Archer and having a pretty good time. I'm level 17 and hopefully I'll have the willpower to keep going this time

Just got out of my first clear for E11S. Static is a bit behind (just now as a group getting to cycles) so I decided to pug on Crystal for the past couple of days since reclears to prepare myself.

Newfound respect for people who do content only on PF because my god, the amount of Pepega I see is fucking astounding. Maybe it's magnified because of Crystal(hurdurr) and end of the week, but the amount of people I've seen that start convos with "Yeah I saw enrage at .03%" and then eat damage downs like candy blows me away. Like no fucking shit you saw enrage at that much when you're getting clipped by some of the most avoidable shit. Like getting hit as a caster on Blue Burnt Strike when you're supposed to just stay out anyway, or not going to the far edge for braindead sundered and getting clipped because you're slow in downtime content. Like fam come on.

I got 2 people from my static and a friend who's progging 12S on an alt and we managed to get a 1 chest clear 30 min before maintenance. Felt really good and I got the legs from the loot which I needed for BiS.

Probably going to craft a set for my pug crystal alt and pug only 12S since a personal goal is to clear (or at least get close) before 5.45 drops and my time gets sucked away for Feast and Bozja.
