Thing is, CA is down to 2-3 producers. There’s no real way to see the channel growing and Doug’s reputation is firmly damaged and there’s a good chance he won’t get any con appearances again. All Doug can do is make videos that probably won’t move the needle and things like The Wall are outliers in terms of reactions to his work. Doug is left to perform to anyone who bothers to stick around, while #CTC are left lashing out at those who say they still watch Doug or any producers who haven’t turned their back on him. The boat is just adrift in the ocean
Channel Awesome seems to still be doing ok so far with over 9 million views a month.

Doug has done six con appearances since #CTC. He does seem to be doing less con appearances from 6-7 cons from the years before Change The Channel to 4 con appearances a year after Change The Channel.
Well I'll be damned. Guess rumors of his demise were more exaggerated than I thought.
There was a slight dip once CTC came out but they've recovered since then. Sure they might be limited to only showing work from the Chicago Crew, and Guru Larry, but they managed to weather the storm. Will they ever reach the heights they did before? It's debatable but in a couple years I don't think it's going to matter much anyway.
Is Larry still on CA? I thought he left after everyone else did, or they'd fire him because of his constant mockery of the company.

Depends on how much ad revenue the site was making with all these producers included. There is also the fact that the tenth anniversary movie was supposed to be made and that got cancelled because of #CTC. Any money they spent on pre-production was essentially wasted.
Yeah Doug seems to have lost a bit of his ego over the years and is very aware of his place on the internet since he seems more self-aware nowadays and is clearly just doing this stuff for money and maybe he's having some fun with it.
