You know the reason why:Why the hell does he review things from franchises he either didn't grow up with or isn't a fan and then spend the entire review bitching about how this isn't his thing? He did the exact same thing with the Power Rangers movies.
If you don't like reviewing things you aren't a fan of Doug, then just stick to things you grew up with and like.

In my experiences:Why do old internet personalities always do things out of spite? They always seem to have it out for their audience.
Yeah, but like five seconds later, its shown he’s just imagining people getting mad at him and the truth is no one really cares that he doesn’t like Pokémon and admits he’s gone overboard with it before.I bit the bullet and decided to check it out, and the review literally opens with Doug making fun of everyone who hates how much he makes fun of Pokemon. I don't know why I was expecting anything else.
Yeah and then at the end he later admitted that he liked Detective Pikachu, so it really isn't that much of a negative reviewYeah, but like five seconds later, its shown he’s just imagining people getting mad at him and the truth is no one really cares that he doesn’t like Pokémon and admits he’s gone overboard with it before.
There was one christmas nostalgia critic episode where Doug did a skit involving the current him meeting his past self. Here current-doug gets annoyed with past-doug using annoying, unfunny memes like "big lipped alligator moment", "of course", etc. He's definitely self-aware and has been for a while, I remember him making quick jabs at being screechy in a few other nostalgia critic episodes too. I just wish his brother Rob would be half as self-aware as Doug, because I find him extremely annoying in the sibling rivalry series and anything else he shows up in.I remember way back when Mara Wilson was mad at him (before she started appearing in his videos), Doug offered a bunch of insults on his Facebook page for her to use against him, such as his irritating, high-pitched voice. He deleted the post shortly after (probably to make her cameo a surprise), but that always stood out to me because he's at least self-aware about some of his annoying traits.
He almost always does this though, he takes the middle road so he doesn't piss off his audience too much.Yeah and then at the end he later admitted that he liked Detective Pikachu, so it really isn't that much of a negative review
I agree with you, but Doug's autistic fanbase constantly demands that he review millennial shit. Why the hell does he review things from franchises he either didn't grow up with or isn't a fan and then spend the entire review bitching about how this isn't his thing? Doug decided to do that himself. https://youtu.be/CItRyDt6whs?t=1393I agree with you, but Doug's autistic fanbase constantly demands that he review millennial shit.
And then he said he wouldn't review anything that was still in theaters.Doug decided to do that himself. https://youtu.be/CItRyDt6whs?t=1393
The times he gets me is when he thinks he's more influential than he really us. For example during the "Simon Says" review where our heroes are saved from an explosion by a coke machine he coins the phrase "Frying the Coke" for something that is stupidly awesome and it will overtake "Jumping the Shark" as a thing. Here's a fun question for you all. What is Doug's worst review/moment/etc in your opinion?
For me it's still Bart's Nightmare. He knows nothing about movies, but to see him do his schitck with a medium he knows even LESS about? Oof.

The Wall Review hands down, because its mostly just Doug shitting on the Wall movie without even understanding it, then at the very end he does a "BUT I ACTUALLY KINDA LIKE IT THO!!" shit to negate the entire review. Also they got the lead singer of Slipknot and do fucking NOTHING with him! Here's a fun question for you all. What is Doug's worst review/moment/etc in your opinion?

Worst Review: The Wall, what everyone says about it applies but it's the songs that get to me as all of them are extremely cringeworthy and horrible song parodies. It got worse when he got that gore-loving furry to animate for him with their OCs. It then gets worse with how Doug lacks any understanding of the wall. Here's a fun question for you all.
