I kinda miss the Dobson who posted SYAC comics on a regular basis instead of the Dobson bitching all day on Twitter, only occassionally drawing to shill his Patreon funding. It was still shit, but it was entertaining shit.

SYAC did have occasional bouts of wisdom (Like telling us why digital blur is lazy and that the same effect could be done better with lines of movement), but most of the time, it was why Dobson's haters are wrong and him bringing in strawmen to beat up. Also, his laziness undermines any goodwill from his decent strips, making him seem even worst.

Sorry for the double post, but this strip is freaking lazy. The shading is off, Dobby looks liveless, and the joke is ruined by the fact that it just seems hypocritical to say "Ha ha my client is fine with copy and paste stuff" when we all know how much effort he puts in to his works.

What shading? I can't seem to find it.

Oh, Dobson - What a story!
The guy is beyond ridiculous, I begin to think there is really no hope for him to change...
He blames the industry, refuses to improve, does a big autist "sigh", and then whores it for patreon gold.
Classy, bluebear!

Praise the might of Blockor, or feel the wrath of his dreaded ban hammer!

It's remarkable how narcissistic he is.

It would've been hysterical if he had this "everyone is wrong but me" attitude in art school, telling off his teachers. ...Well, perhaps he already had the attitude, and just expressed it behind their backs.

Actually, it's one of my favorite anime from that time-period... It is very nicely done Sci-Fi show with a few twists (that don't feel awkward), so I'd be surprised if people actually made fun of it. Wouldn't be surprised if Dobson showed some shitty rom-com or something and now claims it was Iria cause that's actually decent and he can garner more sympathy for it.

Eh, I thought it was good, it just wasn't excellent. Then again, I was a rabid 14 year old DBZ fanbrat the last time I've seen it, so it might be a good idea to revisit this show now that I'm a dumb adult instead of a dumb kid.

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold Dobbo's new masterpiece: So, You Think You Can Blame All Your Shortcomings On Others?

It's amusing how, for all that he hates criticism, the Dobs keeps calling attention to his past mistakes. It's been, what, three years since the Big Ben thing? And then there was his "Bingo" cartoon from last year that called attention to everything critical of him throughout the Internet. You think, if he truly didn't care about his critics, he would just ignore them and do his thing. Instead his critics are...wait, they seem to be providing him with his artistic muse---but not in the way they should.

It's the pencil that really stands out for me. The comic isn't a masterpiece to begin with, but that pencil is so flat-looking in comparison to everything else in the picture.
Actually the way it's being held in front of his stomach makes me think of how Care Bears have like, bear cutie marks on their stomachs.
Except Dobby-Bear doesn't care. :(

He's not even holding it in the top panel, it's behind his thumb.

Is it just me, or is Dobson looking more like himself than ever before?

Also notice the bear is either left-handed or ambidextrous.

Oh, and he's obsessed as always with silencing his critics:

No you didn't Dobson. I don't see any beer or people with information for RPG protagonists.

He needs to ease up with the texturing. Less is more, you know?
Holy shit, Dobson fits that "five people you meet in art school" comic so well by his own admission. He was the one who was the best artist in bumfuck nowhere art wise and couldn't take it when people who knew what they were talking about started looking at his work.

It's not surprising Dobson thinks practice and hard work are bunk.
Do share.

He's left-handed in real life.
