I feel it's the left's goal to become center so that even further craziness will be tolerated and the idea of American Liberty becomes unpalatable to the masses. Sickening

Who is this loser and what is TV Trash?
Not exactly. Star War's "dead period" was from 1986 (when the original Marvel comic ended along with spin-offs for Droids and Ewoks) until 1996 when the toy line was resurrected. While Dark Horse was putting out comics and the Expanded Universe novel series were coming out, the franchise was basically on life support and had very little merchandise support.
Star Wars continued to churning out stuff after Episode 3 ended and the Clone Saga series happened with the cartoon churning out new media. Star Wars hasn't "gone away" sine the 1996 toy revival in terms of merchandise, as it's now one of the "evergreen" franchises that is a staple of toy shelves/merchandise, after being MIA from 1986-1995.
Compared that to Potter, where you have ZERO media of the core series. Just a bunch of fashion dolls for US toy markets (Japan and UK have different toy lines of varying quality that run on and off) and the Lego stuff which only just resumed a couple of years ago after a substantial hiatus. Fantastic Beasts doesn't have dedicated merchandise outside of Lego and the Potter Play which exists in a legal limbo where Rowlings allowed it to be staged/the script published, but refused to give it canonization due to it being a fan work and the controversy over Black Hermoinie.
Potter's chief legacy these days are the movies, which are something of an evergreen product for stores though evergreen box sets don't last these days (see how the James Bond franchise fares in terms of walking into a Walmart or Target and find them on the shelves) and the books, which may or may not be available unless you go to a dedicated book store that stocks them as evergreen selections.
Also, as mentioned, Rowlings keeps the franchise under super tight control so if the lunatic left does renounce it and manage to make the backlash stick, it could create some tension for Rowlings even with her fuck you money. And while Warner Brothers has to bow before Rowlings now, I would not be shocked if there isn't a remake the second she dies done to "restore the franchise" to the lunatic left and basically replace the original eight film series/book series as "the official" version of Harry Potter and the only version you are allowed to like or buy.

This all is trying to cut off a potential political play by Trump. Lagoa has made advances on the short list to maybe be above Barrett, she is a Cuban american and Florida native, so nominating her would play -well- in Florida. Then you have the announcement of aid for Puerto Rican which... again plays -well- in Florida.
So the Dems are desperately trying to cut all that off.

Let's look at it this way. Imagine you are a kid. You want Chuckie Cheese and the full sit down meal pizza experience complete with money to be spent in the game room and all that stuff. Your parents want to just go home however and want to do drive thru at McDonalds and explicitly state you need to pick something from the dollar menu, simply because they are asshole parents who are cheap as fuck, resent the fact that you like fast food, and don't want to go inside one while you eat and play because they regret not getting that abortion and consider any time spent on you having normal childhood experiences is literal death because they only give a shit about themselves and don't even hide the fact that they resent you for making them spend their time on you and things you like doing that take away from them doing stuff they like.
You throw a tantrum and scream and finally your dad tells you that you win, they are getting you Pizza. But not Chuckie Cheese pizza; no no. They pull into a Little Ceasers and dad gives mom money to go inside and get a crappy ass "hot and ready" pizza for the family. Mom is slowly getting out of the car to get the pizza, resentful as fuck that she's going to have to eat pizza tonight, and dad then turns to you and tells you that he doesn't want to hear another word from you. Because you "won" and are getting pizza, even though it's a garbage kind of pizza AND you still don't get to go inside to eat it or do all of the fun stuff Chuckie Cheese has to do if you are a kid.
And you sort of realize that you are getting screwed over by your asshole parents, not getting what you want. But know that they are calling your bluff on one aspect (the food you want) and are just waiting for you to say you aren't getting 100% of what you actually wanted so they can gleefully smack you in the face and say you are getting NOTHING and send you to bed starving.
The kid in the car is the average leftie voter, Chuckie Cheese is the unicorn that is a lunatic left wing Progressive politician that promises the moon let alone delivers, pizza is the promise of no more Trump, and the parents are Biden/Harris, who activately hate the kids and think if they get the kids some kind of pizza/get rid of Trump, the kids will be sated enough to not care they aren't getting the full Chuckie Cheese experience/electing establishment hacks who will continue to fuck over the masses and enact anti-Progressive policies/refuse to do stuff Progressives want like universal health care and college loan forgiveness, and will STFU and let the parents go back to neglecting their kid and only giving them the bare minimum attention needed to keep people from realizing how much they hate and neglect said kid. And the kid accepting crappy Little Ceasers is them voting for Biden because he's not Trump and that's the best they can hope to get given the situation they are in.

The elites, the upper class, the upper middle class believe in the sort of "special destiny" shit that come from being well off and never having to live paycheck to paycheck and having access to real power, over their peers and the poor/working class and lower middle class types. Matthew Good once sung a line in "The Future Is X-Rated "power is useless unless you are going to use it"; to the elites and the upper class/upper middle class, morality dictates that power over others must be used to help not harm and make things better for everyone. Which in theory is good, but in practice corruption, prejudices, class envy/hatred, and other bad shit can cause you to do just as much damage with power, regardless of your motives and actions because said power corrupts absolutely. And at the level where you have power to change the world, the worst thing you can do to someone who claims to be liberal/using power "for the betterment of the people: is try and take that power away or force them to share it, because that is when the masks and gloves come off the elites/upper middle class/upper class who claim to be "good people" and you see their secret monstrous evil selves in all their glory.
