Let's look at it this way. Imagine you are a kid. You want Chuckie Cheese and the full sit down meal pizza experience complete with money to be spent in the game room and all that stuff. Your parents want to just go home however and want to do drive thru at McDonalds and explicitly state you need to pick something from the dollar menu, simply because they are asshole parents who are cheap as fuck, resent the fact that you like fast food, and don't want to go inside one while you eat and play because they regret not getting that abortion and consider any time spent on you having normal childhood experiences is literal death because they only give a shit about themselves and don't even hide the fact that they resent you for making them spend their time on you and things you like doing that take away from them doing stuff they like.
You throw a tantrum and scream and finally your dad tells you that you win, they are getting you Pizza. But not Chuckie Cheese pizza; no no. They pull into a Little Ceasers and dad gives mom money to go inside and get a crappy ass "hot and ready" pizza for the family. Mom is slowly getting out of the car to get the pizza, resentful as fuck that she's going to have to eat pizza tonight, and dad then turns to you and tells you that he doesn't want to hear another word from you. Because you "won" and are getting pizza, even though it's a garbage kind of pizza AND you still don't get to go inside to eat it or do all of the fun stuff Chuckie Cheese has to do if you are a kid.
And you sort of realize that you are getting screwed over by your asshole parents, not getting what you want. But know that they are calling your bluff on one aspect (the food you want) and are just waiting for you to say you aren't getting 100% of what you actually wanted so they can gleefully smack you in the face and say you are getting NOTHING and send you to bed starving.
The kid in the car is the average leftie voter, Chuckie Cheese is the unicorn that is a lunatic left wing Progressive politician that promises the moon let alone delivers, pizza is the promise of no more Trump, and the parents are Biden/Harris, who activately hate the kids and think if they get the kids some kind of pizza/get rid of Trump, the kids will be sated enough to not care they aren't getting the full Chuckie Cheese experience/electing establishment hacks who will continue to fuck over the masses and enact anti-Progressive policies/refuse to do stuff Progressives want like universal health care and college loan forgiveness, and will STFU and let the parents go back to neglecting their kid and only giving them the bare minimum attention needed to keep people from realizing how much they hate and neglect said kid. And the kid accepting crappy Little Ceasers is them voting for Biden because he's not Trump and that's the best they can hope to get given the situation they are in.
