Any suggestions for entry level positions and what types of online jobs are there (no telemarketing) what to expect and what employers are looking for?
 
Crowdsourcing companies like Mechanical Turk, Lionbridge, Appen-Butler Hill offer entry level work and basically just give you a technical manual and test you on it. The pay isn't good though, and from what I understand these days because of how the internet is you need to be active in Google, Apple or some other big tech ecosystem and freely open your data anus. You're better off learning development, but there are a few side gigs you can get if you just need some extra income.
 
You wouldn't be qualified for entry level jobs. All types of online jobs exist online. You can expect disappointment and enui. They are looking for people that are more capable and have two lifetimes worth of work experience and portfolio.
Oh and are you willing to work for the exposure?

Used them for a few years back around 2012. Was making $35 an hour average with a google contract providing feedback for instructional and technical videos. I have since started my own IT business however if something were to happen that would be my fallback. Highly suggest you looking into it if you are actually serious.

I tried MechanicalTurk out years ago for shits and giggles. It is miserable and the pay is third world tier.
 
I am a full-time work-from-home employee, but this comes with 10+ experience in my field. There are tons of entry-level WFH positions available, but expect to get absolutely dicked in pay. Companies, especially after this COVID-19 shit, will leverage WFH as a means to dock pay. For example, IT helpdesk usually nets a person anywhere from 15-20USD, but they will vie toward minimum. If you factor in the distance you might need to travel to get to your place of employment, this might actually be beneficial to you. At the end of the day, it’s experience to put on a resume.
 
You could be a good goy and work for Israel... 0.50$ US a Post is nice.
 
I got a software development job because a professor I took around a year ago went back into the industry, and offered me a position after I asked if he would be a reference. Opportunities like this one are the one and only benefit of going to college, and probably still don't make it worth it.
 
I've been looking hard recently and there's nothing I'm immediately qualified for with online work. Sucks. I think I'm just going to persevere with my plan for joining the air force or army so they can pay for the rest of my degree and give me a better starting wage + benefits while still a student.
