Then don't post your work online? I don't get how people think like this, it's not just something Dobson does.

Mabye, until they critique him.Dobson has IRl friends?
I find it hard to believe that anyone would be friends with Dobsy in real life. Also, if you don't like it, don't post it. That's the rule, abide by it.He has been bitching and moaning about critiques today, and this gem popped up

2. We would enjoy your work, but we can't the way it is.
Do Brooklyn Mario, Popeye Arms Peach and Brown Haired Link count?Dobson doesn't have friends.
Serious about this. Everything he's ever posted indicates he doesn't have non-online friends.
A passion for half-assing everything? How does someone fuck up both the color of oil and of the character they're trying to draw?

I bet by IRL friends he means fellow artists he's talked to at cons previously but otherwise doesn't socialise with in real life.He has been bitching and moaning about critiques today, and this gem popped up

This was a long time ago, but I came across some random person on DA once who claimed that rotating pages fucks up the drawing somehow and that true pros never ever rotate their drawings as they work. Perhaps it's possible Dobson knows of this and avoids rotating his work? He's inking like he can't rotate the page or change the pen.
Notice how he doesn't say something like "...but I proved them wrong." Because he didn't, he did the exact opposite.Dobson will never, ever let go of the past.
What a pathetic, bitter old man he has become.
Maybe he's referring to Chris-Style headmates à la Sonichu.Dobson doesn't have friends.

Oh, silly you, assuming he 'became' pathetic and bitter...Dobson will never, ever let go of the past.

I'd question it, if it wasn't making so much sense. Dobson is the perfect example of a dope, that would pick up some obscure, ass-backwards working process from some source that claims it's the way 'pros' work and then mindlessly adhere to them like gospel despite creating more issues than it solves. This was a long time ago, but I came across some random person on DA once who claimed that rotating pages fucks up the drawing somehow and that true pros never ever rotate their drawings as they work. I doubt his circle of IRL friends is big enough to sustain his work as an artist (comic or otherwise), so yeah, Dobson should fuck himself, man up and try to discern good from bad criticism (ie: "This is perfect" most likely equals shitty asspat and should be ignored, while "I like the idea, but the realization kinda falls short" might be good). Either he's a hobby artist that's trying to do some doodles for his circle of friends and can rightfully ignore others, or he's trying to be a professional and he has to accept criticism as long as it's valid. Granted, it's a good start to have a few acquaintances (especially artists) that can give you feedback, but you should never, ever ignore everyone else. But we're speaking about Dobson, so he's trying to have his cake and inflate it, too.He has been bitching and moaning about critiques today, and this gem popped up

Got ya covered! (Requested it for you in the /co/ drawboards)I kinda want to see a George Costanza Dobson.
...While on his way to a con dressed as one of the Trigun characters.Looks like Captain Planet tripped in a sewer instead of an oil leak.
A lot easier on the eyes and a lot less smug.Got ya covered! (Requested it for you in the /co/ drawboards)
