I find it hard to believe that anyone would be friends with Dobsy in real life. Also, if you don't like it, don't post it. That's the rule, abide by it.

But we all know he won't. He'll continue his bitching until he drops dead, calling it right now.
 
I'm sure he cares about the opinions of random internet anons as long as they're positive opinions. It's only when somebody's critical that their credentials matter.

That's exactly as sad as Sweet's hatred of his college. Not as pathetic, since Dobbo has not yet to my knowledge cheered for their deaths or threatened them with death, but it's still up there.

Once again Dobby Bear makes absolutely no sense.Just because you can't physically see someone's face over the internet doesn't mean their opinion isn't valid and in your case Dob, you could actually benefit greatly from criticism, but we all know you're too proud for that!

It's a shame that Dobson's head is stuck so far up his furry fat ass. The internet has revolutionized just about everything art included and if could learn to take both criticism and humility like an adult, more people would support him on Patreon, he would possibly be a household name on DeviantArt as lord knows he can draw sooo much better than he does when he's not being lazy, and most importantly, he wouldn't be a lolcow to begin with!

I bet by IRL friends he means fellow artists he's talked to at cons previously but otherwise doesn't socialise with in real life.
 
If he actually accepted critique from any other artist, his art probably wouldn't suck so much. Calling bullshit on his claim of having friends, and I'm calling bullshit on him accepting any critique whatsoever. No one in their right mind would be friends with Dobson, and it already blows my mind that he actually has fans, despite how he treats them like trash.

Oh, silly you, assuming he 'became' pathetic and bitter...
He's always been a pathetic, bitter douchebag and he certainly is not a 'man', since that would imply he's owning up to his mistakes and be able to take criticism without blowing a fuse.

I'd question it, if it wasn't making so much sense. Dobson is the perfect example of a dope, that would pick up some obscure, ass-backwards working process from some source that claims it's the way 'pros' work and then mindlessly adhere to them like gospel despite creating more issues than it solves.
And of course, he'd claim to be a pro cause he's using pro-techniques for pros such as himself.

I doubt his circle of IRL friends is big enough to sustain his work as an artist (comic or otherwise), so yeah, Dobson should fuck himself, man up and try to discern good from bad criticism (ie: "This is perfect" most likely equals shitty asspat and should be ignored, while "I like the idea, but the realization kinda falls short" might be good). Either he's a hobby artist that's trying to do some doodles for his circle of friends and can rightfully ignore others, or he's trying to be a professional and he has to accept criticism as long as it's valid. Granted, it's a good start to have a few acquaintances (especially artists) that can give you feedback, but you should never, ever ignore everyone else. But we're speaking about Dobson, so he's trying to have his cake and inflate it, too.

Edit: And it's not even necessary to take all criticism at face value. Noone says you can't ignore some bad feedback, since some of it might be genuinely misguided or just nitpicking... but Dobson is fond of ignoring everything that doesn't lead to insta-fuzzy-wuzzies.
