Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

This is an obviously urgent situation and a bunch of people sitting on top of a pile of money seem to have no interest at all in doing anything other than draining that pile of money.

Nick and Ty and anyone else need to be forced to answer what the fuck is going on with the money they've begged for. What the FUCK is going on?
I bet Ty will demand the exact amount of the GFM in legal fees. Which may actually be a deal for Vic.

But seriously Ty is all talk no show. He gets to be showered with praise on Nick's show and that's all the effort he needs to put into this case. Never mind all the people, including those in Texas, watching this case and not watching all their other cases.

Despite hiring new counsel specifically to cope with our alleged overwork issue, we're still too fat to file on time. I'm not fucking impressed, but not terribly distressed, either. What a load.
Lmao I basically say the same shit and get neg rated to shit, faggots in this thread are dumbest bandwagoners I've seen in a while.

No one is "sperging out" about this, peope are just sick of a fat fuck boomer enjoying all the gifts and fellating he gets online only to show very little care or punctuality for the actual lawsuit. Instead of waifu pillows and fan art someone needs to buy Ty a fucking watch and calendar.

I will agree that the fellating of Ty has been tiresome for a long time

As expected. An action completely average that will slow down the case a bit.

Am I disappointed? Not really. I would've loved that the brief was filed instead of a motion for extension. But then again, I'm the type of guy that hypes myself for a game, skip the release date and buy it months, years down the road. I can manage my expectations and not sperg out at the first sign of delays.

Life goes on, lolcows will still make fools of themselves, and the 18th of February, we can expect either a brief, or another extension motion. Either way, I'll still sit here with popcorn in hand.

I'm starting to see why lawsuits take forever. It's a profession of faggots that just try to accrue as many paying litigants at once, and then kick any actually work that needs to be done as far down the road as possible until they're absolutely forced to do something.

There's also usually value in one side or the other delaying the case which is why it tends to happen, a lot.

Wait isn't Hsu/Martinez handling appeals? Shouldn't the responsibility of files be on time rely on them
Irrelevant. Ty still remains the principal lawyer of the case, and is responsible for everything. Hsu/Martinez have received a delegation of tasks to do for Ty, which can go to representing Vic in a hearing.

But Ty remains the most important one, and the scapegoat for any and all wrongdoings.

Jesus did almost everyone sped out?
Sped out after CoA makes a decision, would you rather have a half done filing again or it delayed and fully complete as much as it can? Calm down everyone, Jesus fucking Christ. Almost reminds me of twitter speds.

Fuck off, we don't need cheerleading, we need action. If I see mistakes being made now, I'll point them out now, not just mindlessly rah-rah until disaster happens.

Okay that was needlessly hostile but I'm not going to be lawl twitter and just pretend I'm fine with everything.

Ty is lead counsel. Ty is the guy who runs BHBC. Everything is on him.

I think thats fair, I'm not very happy about delays either. Its certainly not sending a great message to the fans and watchers of the suit insofar as it looks like the suit is being focused on. I don't think it was anywhere near impossible for them to put the brief together by this deadline. It should have been plenty doable. It gives the impression that this case is running second fiddle to others. Perhaps they feel its the wisest action to delay it and get in that extra 3 weeks of polish while thats still an option though. After-all they only get one shot.

"Good Lord, can't we get one court document and not riot?"

This just reminds me of last month when that bill from the appeals court was sent out and everyone started freaking out. Then we found out later that Chupp didn't even know when that payment was due.

Everyone just calm down and wait for more information.

That's why I'm not outright saying the case is doomed or anything like that. But having seen it more than a few times, I'm deeply suspicious of anyone who might possibly see a giant pile of cash from Internet suckers and just think "ha ha free money we can do a complete dipshit job and still get paid." And a delay on this really is starting to smell like that.

Watch them file a very average to sub par brief next month and people will still think BHBC are trying their very best.

The appeals court is clearly interested in seeing this case tried as soon as possible, otherwise they wouldn't have put it on an accelerated schedule, and the plaintiff, who should be eager to get it on the road, is all "lol no let's put it off." Why? Why the fuck is this happening? I can't think of a single good reason.
