Just right now on this stream EVS is trying to grift people in and getting all bitter and pissed at other smaller artists that makes less than 3K a month and have problems making a living and discussing it on twitter, he's so out of touch making fun of people that actually makes a normal wage that he doesn't realize how fucking out there he sounds and looks.

That face when someone is so stupid he makes fun of normies / people that are on average wage, part of the large audience he actually needs to sell books to.

Also making fun of artist that gets 91000 reads on their comic books by being pirated, but Cyberfrog can't even get more than 8K backers/readers. Even less of them wants to actually open his book, resell them by the dozen on ebay for a loss without even ever opening and reading it, not only that but the funniest part of it, is that no one even tries to pirate it, that's how little people really cares about his shit.

And that, is the best reality check when no one even tries to pirate your awfull, uninteresting and boring comic book for others to read it online.

I sold 19,000 copies of a $25 graphic novel. I don't know how common that is for mainstream comics let alone indies, but I'm happy about it.

Those other Green Lantern artists are great. I'd let history sort out who owned the decade in which I co-created all of the characters and mythology that those fellas drew, making GREEN LANTERN as big as Batman for DC.

Ultimately it's meaningless.

Telling me I'm not as big as Todd McFarlane doesn't make me feel much smaller.

And Ron Lim was great, why hate on that dude? His Silver Surfer run was top notch.

As for the amateur stuff, sure, whatever nerd. Just keep talking about me.

BTW, DC just repackaged and reoffered GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH for a tenth time as a brand new hardcover. Grab one!

Haha! You are back where you started. The only difference is the emergence on crowdfunding. If not for that, you would be doodling Cyberfrog and selling 400 copies a month for Antarctic Press.

I can see how you would equate comparing Rom Lim to yourself as a huge insult to Ron Lim. Completely understandable. However...I was not talking about his drawing ability, appearance or saying he is a nutjob. I'm talking about popularity with fans and Lim has never been an A-lister. Just as Aparo, Sal Buscema, Ron Frenz, Mark Bagley, John Romita Jr have never been A-list talent among fans, even if they were very reliable comic book artists, all vastly more talented than yourself and unlike you, they made scripts better not worse.

It was a low blow to mention Ron Lim in comparison to you and I apologize to Ron Lim for that. I would not want him to think I thought he was such a messed up loafer as yourself.

But...Lim and many other artists are not the type whose name could be placed on a cover and their name alone sells comics even though they have produced great comics that were exceptionally entertaining. That is simply the way it is. Just like there are many dependable actors who can do supporting roles that make movies better but they never get top billing.

And speaking of Hollywood actors...there are those like yourself who desperately want to be 'The Star' and they do all sorts of crazy shit trying to get lead roles but never make the cut. They don't even focus on the fundamentals of the art they pretend to create. Maybe they imitate lead actors or leak crap about their self to get their name out there. Maybe they use fan polls and the internet in general to stage fan hate of a rival and stage fan love for them self. Or they pleasured Weinstein for roles.

Those things happen when a person uses sleazy methods to cut line and get noticed. They sometimes get a brief taste of success. But their lack of true talent and bad character sticks around, so they suck at what they do and use devious means to try to hold on to what they attained. And then, poof....gone! Their behavior dug them a hole they finally fell into.

Yes, in many ways you are a combination of Rose McGowan, Jennifer Lawrence, Mike Myers and touch of Steven Seagal.

Shut the fuck up! Aparo was great in the 1960s and 1970s. But he was never on the level of Kirby, Ditko, Adams, Kane, during that time. He became DC Comics' Sal Bucema. A guy who was just pumped out stuff very fast. He drew most characters the same and his women were drawn very ugly!

That's not hating on the guy. If he slowed down and took the time to tweak his style he could've had greater success.

But again...SHUT THE FUCK UP!

I was able to do both of these items when I was a child dude.

A bunch of comics shops didn't decide to order that many titles just for the hell of it. Most of those orders, probably 95% to 99% were to customers who requested an order.

Don't buy into Ethan Van Sciver's lies. He's a liar! Comic book shops aren't run by rich guys who can order a shitload of comics every month that never sell. Were are they getting the money to order new comics? From sales. If they are not making money they would have no money to order new comics. And when customer demand increases for a comic shop orders increase. But with non Marvel and DC comics...most of their orders are customers requesting comics.

Ethan Van Sciver has a personal agenda against Marvel and DC Comics. Nothing he says can be trusted just like you cannot trust with CNN and MSNBC says about President Trump. All you will get is biased opinion wrapped as news, which becomes FAKENEWS.

Note that Ethan Van Sciver will laugh at the falling recent orders for Batman. He will point out that comic shops are ordering less Batman because the title is selling less. TRUE. But then his bias leads him to lie and pretend that increased comic book orders do not reflect a rise in sales.

If you want fake, biased comic book news, follow the BUTTHURT ramblings of Ethan Van Sciver. They guy who was booted from DC Comics. The guy Marvel did not try to hire once DC Comics threw his ass out the door. He was rejected by both Marvel and DC!

He can call it "Blacklisted" and say it's because of politics. But look at his long history of online harassment of people and creating absurd drama just because it pleasures him to fuck with people. Look at his history of unprofessional conduct ranging from poor drawings for DC and Marvel and screwing Marvel over by writing the word "Sex" all through an issue he did for them. He has proven his is a mentally unstable drama queen, he posted anti-gay attacks online which would bring them controversy if they hired him .

He blacklisted himself. His behavior caught up to him.

So 25k was typical in the run up to the spawn run to 300. You only got marketing promoting it up on 296-301 [My shop didnt even order spawn until 295.]

So what that means is conservatively you have about 13k people ordering spawn. A comic thats been in circulation since the 90s. Vs @FROG who got to 9kish (roughly)

Thats a heck of a first act.

It's apples and oranges anyhow. CyberFrog Bloodhoney is a $25 graphic novel. Spawn is a $4 floppy.

You have to compare graphic novel numbers.
