How long does it take to edit 4 minutes of video, especially when you consider its probably just going to be him talking over gameplay and explaining why it’s so shitty. (Btw give me money so I can make it less shitty.)

Did we mention this existing?

Well they advanced a bit with the 3D models

There really isn't much to say about this for now since Alex isn't even going to be involved in it's development sans giving Glowstick the thumbs up to use his characters. Glowstick is also pretty heavily involved with networking in the indie scene so they're definitely aware of Alex's bad history of working with others, but also didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to appeal directly to the YS fandom. Unlike Alex, Glowstick can actually keep to a schedule and make a fun game so I'm sure the crossover will be just as solid as the rest of Dark Deception.

I'm not at all surprised that Alex didn't even bother mentioning Dark Deception or Glowstick in his recent blogposts as thanks for what's basically free advertising given how entitled he is in general.

New blog post HERE

He says this build is complete (I doubt it) but he needs 48 hours to complete the video for it, and instead just tease new content with a weird filter on.

The last screenshot reminded me of alex's "career" collapsing in on itself this.

Funny how he spent ages making something that isn't even close to complete

He does understand that 5 years is usually when a game is finished, much less have prototypes, right?

Usually I'd say "no, this is clearly a long con" but knowing how incompetent and ignorant of anything Alex is the odds are a solid 50/50.

Of course instead of making the game's core mechanics work properly he just built a new area, almost the only thing he can do - that is how good game development works, right? :sighduck:

Any sane dev would be happier to release a scaled-down but functional game vs. a non-functional mess, but I guess Alex is special.

This update in a nutshell: holy fucking hell my eyes.

I didn't spend much time at all exploring or experimenting as I was mostly curious as to what was added. But I did notice something that I didn't see the last time I ripped EvaXephon for making poor decisions and I must correct something else I mentioned.
NPCs cease their animations when they're a certain distance from the player and only move. The problem lies in that they do this while you can still see them, meaning you see students sliding all over the place down hallways and potentially in open spaces. As far as I can tell this makes no difference in the framerate and performance is still terrible.
I may have mentioned that VSync is enabled during the game itself once you get past the menus you're no longer rendering 2000+ frames for a still image and making your GPU beg for mercy. I was mistaken. VSync is indeed enabled, but only when you complete the intro sequence of a new game. If you load an existing game instead? Have 500 frames when you're standing in your bedroom. Have another couple thousand when you're loading the school. And have no more than 55 while you're at the school because performance is so bad you don't have to worry about frying your GPU there.
As for the little shop area, it's actually the best environment in the game, aside from one glaring detail.

No, I did not slap a FuckYourEyes filter on that screenshot.
Naturally, every non-functioning store has the same shopkeeper. Remember, blondes are sluts and senpai only likes pure innocent virgins.

A couple NPCs attempt to walk up to the sea, lean on the railing and stare at the boats, almost giving this place the sense of life that the school utterly lacks.

They live there now.
There's a telescope that you can spend your hard-earned cash to look through at the majestic sights.

And there's some yazuka wannabe in an alleyway who tells you to go away.

Aside from that, well, students still conga-line everywhere.

Game essentially remains unchanged. Sure, a new area, but it's not like you can actually DO anything in it.

Silly wabbit, that’s why you turn up the fog! There, problem solved! Our dev pai is smart and resourceful!

Market street is a nice idea to add more variety to a ways to get things. But all those things that are needed for osana murder are already accessible in school\internet\info chan. Demo will include one school week, there's no need to replace tools, buy stuff and cosmetic features like hairstyles.
It's an interesting feature fo a final game, not a demo.

I can’t wait for all these interesting features to crumble under Alex when they result in a totally un-balanced mess and he has a mental breakdown.

Most of Alex's cult followers slaves volunteers are graphic designers, drawfags and animators.
So it is quite convenient for him to center the development around tasks that require simple coding but require huge amounts of work when it comes to 3D modeling and animations (such as the shop street).
Keep mind that Alex, due to his narcissism and stubborness, is the only coder for Yandere Simulator, and a extremely mediocre and lazy one for that matter, so it is quite obvious that his volunteers may get impacient if they don't receive workload frenquently enough.
When the members of a cult get impacient and are restless they may start asking questions, and Alex is aware that is not a good thing.

It's quite easy to code a shop in a game (all the shops have the same UI copypasted over and over) especially when there is no interaction whatsoever within the shopkeepers or any NPC, it is just basically a bunch of lines that add or remove money and a certain item to your inventory. Most of those items already exist, so it is even less work for him.
TL;DR: The reason why this is getting developed precisely now is because Alex is a machiavellian mooch and a lazy fuck.
