I thought the idea of a town or street was pointless in the first place and this video didn't exactly convince me otherwise. The town would've been too expansive for Alex to actually do.. Or maintain any framerate on. He's certainly not going to make it similar to Natsuiro high like he previously compared it to. The street isn't exactly amazing either. It's another bandaid on a bigger issue.

Getting items.

I thought Info-chan's whole purpose was to give players items after giving her panty pictures. It seems kind of pointless to add currency if there's already another form of 'currency' being used to buy other crap. One of these two options seems unnecessary. Frankly he should just cut the effort for making a street, axe the money system, and stick with Info-chan to get all of your items from. If pantyshots are too controversial change that into a favor system where Info-chan just asks you to obtain.. y'know.. info for her? Then Info-chan can just supply you with anything you'd need whether that be information or objects. There's no need for BOTH of these things. Just pick one and stick to it. Making something more complicated and require more steps doesn't mean it's any better.

and as much as the yakuza guy is attractive and interesting.. It doesn't really fit? Delinquency is fine enough but all of the things the yakuza could do .. well, you could basically do all of that anyway. So there's no need for it.

I gotta disagree with you here. All of these ideas could work and help balance out certain play styles (mostly the befriend system he wants to put in place). The issues appear because of how they are implemented. Shitty programming aside, he has no idea how to balance things out. If there were genuine consequences from using info-chan or the Yakuza, then paying for things with money would make sense. He doesn't though because he's a shitty game designer.

I think switching to shops and actual currency from Info-Chan would be a good idea considering that the panty shot mechanic seems to be partially responsible for the game being banned on things like Twitch. If that was the plan, it would make sense, but I doubt Alex wants to ditch his beloved panty shots mechanic (in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if that's part of the reason why things went tits up with TinyBuild - they wanted to censoooorrr his masterpiece), plus Info-Chan is SO totally tied to the Yandere Simulator mythology that only exists in Alex's head.

TL;DR - if it had evolved from Info-Chan being a temp mechanic to get items to shops it would've been fine. Now it's just another excuse to delay the disappointment that will be Osana.
 
The panty stuff could work if it actually was a hentai game instead of being one in denial, but like for blackmailing into sexual favors or some shit, but that'd require the male students' undergarments too, so it'd never happen.

I'm honestly not surprised that YanSim is still popular. He already gained a large following of 10 year old girls before the truth came out, and now that their beloved yandev senpai has been proven a pedophile and a lazy piece of shit, they don't care. I was young when I found him too, but after I seen the documentary on him I was honestly really angry. How are these youtubers just completely looking past this? Kubz has a baby on the way! Both of these youtubers fanbases are many younger kids! It's gross.

Also, that is not a fun game... At least the 1st non yandev video you see when you search yandere dev into youtube is a vid on how shit he is.
