I think he believes Magi-Chan has more clout, more influence, and people might take the Merge more seriously if Magi-Chan says its gonna happen. This is his stupid way of providing proof that the worlds are merging. Plus, since Magi-Chan is a powerful, omnipotent senior citizen, Chris feels he can talk down to people even more than he already does.
