I know psychologists can request meds from a psychiatrist if they believe the patient can benefit from it, and the psychiatrist can just write the script if it is a light little something but from my experience (as a patient) a psychiatrist will have 15 minutes with you and decide on or deny anything heavy or longterm.
Apart from that, not much difference in treatment generally. From a patient perspective. One of the 2 just can give drugs and one cannot. Also CBT and EMDR are (at least where I am in Europe) not psychologist terrain as much as they are psychiatrist terrain.
As a not patient I have seen a psychiatrist lead 2 others, psychologists, in an intervention on a family, family therapy, dynamics within the group, etc., so they can take charge and manage treatment. (Fucked up group though, they could use the attention.)

As for the rest: 12 year old girl was sad and daddy appeased her ludicrous requests by pretending to go along with it. Or a straight up lie for attention. Boston doctors can hardly care for Bostonians because of budgets, personnel, and bureaucratic processes. They're definitely not going to waste time for some unmotivated, lardass youtuber from Kentucky--much less make ANY accommodations for specialized evaluation before even consulting anyone, or consider a visit without a referral from a GP.
