The idea of DSP working an actual job is funnier the more I think about it. How is he going to manage the basic level of human interaction necessary to carry out his duties? It's not as though he's a sysadmin with fifteen years experience and a stack of certifications under his belt; he can't just work from home communicating only via text and email and still expect to pull down a similar salary. He'll need to get something in the same place as Kat, with the same hours, just so she can constantly run interference for him. His only other option is the graveyard shift somewhere stocking shelves and we already know he won't be able to manage that for an hour or two. He'll need to guard the ID of his employer with his life because if he thinks his detractors are insane for tracking down his residence he's in for a world of shit when they start turning up at the local Fred Meyer to ask the new bagboy where the turkey burgers and horse feed are located.

The longer you are without a job, the more difficult it is to get one. Phil is 37 years of age, and hasn't had a real job since his days at the fucking airplane company or whatever. And he only got that job because his dad hooked him up. I also remember him saying that he worked at Circuit City or something like that, but knowing Phil, that's probably a lie.

Like, does he even know how to fill out a job application. And what's that even gonna look like? When he lists his past job experiences, is he going to write down "played video games on a crusty-ass couch for ten years"? Add that to his general attitude an inability to follow directions, and you've got an unhireable employee already.

He's never going to find a job. He's gonna be playing video games on that couch until he's 50+ and dies after his 3rd heart attack.

Even if Phil does get a job, whatever company hires him will be subjected to withering harassment from detractors from day 1 until his inevitable firing. Not saying it’s right or wrong, just stating the fact of the matter.
I feel bad for any workplace that becomes associated with Phil. Those people will have no idea what they’re in for. The second Phil announces he got a job (it could happen...maybe) people will find it, and he’ll show up to work one day to see pictures of him jerking off all over the building, and “customers” will be taking pictures and snorting at him all day.

you think any company will hire him after googling him? most employers do surface level checks on the people applying for jobs in the form of checking facebook/google. detractors have 100% clogged up his name with all the nasty/stupid shit he has done.

Lol Phil wants to get a job in 10 years once he's 47? Man he's actually fucking stupid. Knowing him though he'll stream until his parents kick off and then use his inheritance so he doesnt have to work

Phil worked at Best Buy. This is 100% a fact because people found the paperwork where he was fired for using his employee discount to buy video game consoles to run a tournament for his own profit.

Based on the Seattle documentary I just saw, considering DSP isn't addicted to drugs, he can probably get a service job somewhere if he wanted to even with his lack of work history and his Google search results.

Whether he can keep it or not is a different story. It's been 10 years, and he still hasn't figured out that his current streaming is a customer service job as we can tell based on the way he reacts to even the simplest "dumb questions". Then again, he would have to speak face-to-face at an actual job instead of being a tough guy in front of a camera.

What, does he expect his "bad back" to be healed in 10 years? That is his go-to excuse (of many) when it comes to why he won't get a real job.

Also amusing he thinks he basically just needs to outlive his parents and he'll be good for life. Given how bad his finances are, I suspect he's going to basically act like a bad lottery winner and spend all that 'free' money without setting up a long term financial stability plan.

DSP milked his pigs enough. Taxes 1 = Kat moving in/buying Christmas. Taxes 2 = CT trip/marriage/whatever. Tax problem never existed it was a scheme from day one. Oh well.

If it was a scheme then at the very least DSP knows how to play an audience. He absolutely had every one of us believing he was enough of a dumbfuck not to properly research his tax liability.

I was think about this earlier. I assume that there are city/county jobs that he could he could apply to providing he could pass the test for them and would workout for him because he is basically on a waiting list for months. DSP can turn around and hold it over his audience because that is what DSP has done for years, It would give him time to prep a schedule around a 9-5 job but I don't even think he will prep for the test and turn around and complain that it had bugged mechanics on the test.

Honestly I think if Phil heads back into the regular workforce it could swing one of two ways. He will either be that one socially awkward guy especially since he is more or less a shut in with a god complex but gets intimidated at the sight of constantly being around people better than him.

That or said god complex will carry over making him an even more insufferable cunt and which case, a mall cop will be right up his alley.

DSP is petrified of any form of direct confrontation. He'd never take a position where he's within a hundred miles of a risk of so much as being yelled at.
