The idea of DSP working an actual job is funnier the more I think about it. How is he going to manage the basic level of human interaction necessary to carry out his duties? It's not as though he's a sysadmin with fifteen years experience and a stack of certifications under his belt; he can't just work from home communicating only via text and email and still expect to pull down a similar salary. He'll need to get something in the same place as Kat, with the same hours, just so she can constantly run interference for him. His only other option is the graveyard shift somewhere stocking shelves and we already know he won't be able to manage that for an hour or two. He'll need to guard the ID of his employer with his life because if he thinks his detractors are insane for tracking down his residence he's in for a world of shit when they start turning up at the local Fred Meyer to ask the new bagboy where the turkey burgers and horse feed are located.
