Edit #2: He didn't go to the Dojo Idol...oh lord, this is going to take a while, also Phil now faces the framerate shitting the bed in Sekiro's version of Blightown. Yes, framerate is bad and shits the bed, but not as badly as he's making it out to be.
I'm fucking laughing at his attempts to climb the castle. I imagine some of the enemies just watching him fall repeatedly and randomly jumping off walls over and over again with no aim and wondering who this spastic shinobi is.

I'll agree with him, the framerate isn't good, and can affect gameplay a bit, but not to the laughable extent that he's claiming it is. You can still control where you are going, so long as you are not a complete spastic.
Edit- Just watch this spastic try to avoid Loneshadow. How long will it take for him to realise you can stealth the purple mook before you fight the miniboss.
Edit 2- He didn't save at the Dojo, what a fucking clown. He's salty as can be.

Phil lumbers into a room, ignoring the save point next to it and gets his shit pushed in by a boss.

Game's fault that it put a boss next to a save point before Phil could restock his healing. Also funny watching him do laps trying to flee from the boss, terrible game design that he can't run away from a boss in a From Software game.

If Phil beats him in the next two or three goes, I'm going to shoot myself for being worse than DSP at this point...
Mod just purged chat.
Edit: Whelp, time to sunset myself.

Última edición:
So it looks like he's gonna get the Immortal Severance ending, which seems to be what most people get their 1st play through. But how does he have so much health and 9 gourd seeds at roughly the half-way point? I wasn't close to that at this point in the game. Has he seriously just been going around avoiding story and collecting prayer beads and seeds?

Just remember that he, in addition to reading guides and doing the closest thing to overleveling in this game (the prayer beads + prostethic upgrading), had someone send him a veritable walkthrough to get the endings. So he knows what's coming, and his only hindrance at this point is his complete inability to understand basic mechanics. He STILL does not understand the posture system.

Someone sent him a walkthrough? He will still claim that it was no guide. I watched and compared his fight to AngriestPat's fight against Owl. DSP lamed that fight out like it was Cross Tekken, chipping away in a boring way until he got the win. Pat (like I and others) went in, and struggled more as a result.

Personally, still haven't finished it (Corrupted Monk fight at the Palace gateway). Idk if it's me, but I refuse to watch boss fights that I haven't encountered yet. It's not the same when you know ahead of time the attacks.

Yeah, the fight was basically a redux of the apes fight. Look for specific attacks, hit Owl once and then back off. He even remarked that he didn't care when Owl did his posture recovery move because he was just cheesing out the health bar. He's still playing it like the most passive playstyle of Souls.

The least entertaining way to play, especially for a stream, but anything for that W, right?

After the Owl fight it became quite obvious what Dave's weakness in gaming is.
His shitty reflexes.

The Owl boss is one of the slowest in the game and has little pauses in between attacks.
Phil didn't need to rely on reflexes and could space the boss out and punish him. (I have to admit, he did pretty good in that regard)

But as soon as the enemy will mix it up with multiple unblockables and quick attacks, he starts to lose badly because his washed up brain can't keep up anymore.

During Blackout just now, this fucker is trying to say that he likes Sekiro, and he only shits all over From Software because he's a tilted bitch baby. Also, certain fanboys (read: Swagginz, because Phil's a pussy and won't say his name) apparently told Phil that the game was perfect (literally no one said that--only told Phil to git gud). Still saying he hates the combat, which is not a surprise given that he still doesn't have even a basic understanding of the posture system.

He’s also ranting about this weird specific narrative of people who only bought dark souls 3 and got burned buying sekiro because it’s so much difficult.....I mean it’s clear he just wants to cry about the difficulty without admitting he’s the one crying....

Isn’t this also the guy who said everyone is sheep and idiots that buy games day one? Sounds like these morons on his twitter the only played dark souls 3 should’ve waited a few days and checked out his livestreams before making a bad purchase

Owl was tough because if you go in and be aggressive (ie, like you should be doing with every boss), he runs away whilst chipping away at your posture. There are no perilous attacks for you to counter, he has numerous long ranged and status effect attacks that don't contribute to his posture meter, he can Mikiri any charged attack you do (be it with the sword or the spear) for an almost guaranteed OHK, he has a guaranteed followup if you break posture (footstomp into stab) and his attacks are slow enough that building up posture takes a while. Only when you get him into a corner does the aggression start to help. Most prosthetics are also pretty useless against him, especially the spear.

If you do what Phil did, wait for one attack, hit him once, and otherwise play it lame...well, you will end up beating him. Its boring af, but its a win I guess.

I know what you mean. I'm in NG+4 right now and Owl is definitely in my top 3 hardest of the game.
Especially in consecutive playthroughs where your posture builds up like crazy and pretty much only goes down when you use Ichimonji.
You basically have to dodge aggressively and use the 1-2 iframes you have perfectly to punish his attacks while perfect parry all his big swings.

In NG+ 3 this fight lasted 14 minutes for me while I beat the final boss (with all his forms) in about 6.

Owl is going to fuck him up assuming he doesn't go for the bitch ending and piss off all his fans. Just spent an hour+ on the guy. Partially to test every shinobi prosthetic on him, but mainly because he (at least to me) was a difficulty spike compared to the other bosses.

Owl also has enough cheap "unfair" bullshit that no matter what, whether Phil beats him in 3 or 300 tries, he will absolutely bitch and be salty because "it's not a fair fight dude".

Edit: Going to give Phil credit for not picking the bitch made easy ending.

Owls the easiest boss in the game imo

Wait a second. Did anyone else hear this about how DSP holds the controller while playing Sekiro/FromSoftware games?

Edit: Playback disabled so click to 2:22:49 of this video.

He is holding his controller in an absolutely bizarre way to "control the camera". It would be like how halfcoordinated holds his controller I think.

I KINDA have to stay on Phil's side here, running (circle) and camera movement at the same time (thumb) is bizarre. I also hold my controller way different if I want to do that. For example when the lock on fades away (yes this can happen) and you have to search for the enemy, preferred running to not get hit.

However. He explicitly says "During long boss fights". Why would you move the camera? Lock on to the enemy, camera moves automatically. Even against multiple enemies you can just change the lock on target, which should be done as this makes parry way easier.

So yes, his method has a ground to stand on. But you should not use it.
