I mean i have no other way to troll and to be i didn't even donate the dollar anyway,i did that cheep method of sending money when muxy get's the conformation but yet paypal never actually get's the money, can you come up with any other diss? because the only 3 DSP detractors i like to watch is Soma,David Davidson and Memology 101 really anyway...

starting to sound as bad as tevin and sierra. better to just watch. got nothin against trollin. some of phils best moments came from trolls. but dont troll and then come here expecting a parade in your honor.

DSP has given up on eavesdropping so expect a 'game didn't explain anything' rant in the next few days.

Edit: He reaches a Remnant to trigger a conversation and then immediately turns away and reads his phone even though the speech is in Japanese. Another 'game didn't explain anything' moment.

Double Edit: In nearly two hours, he's killed one miniboss, ran away from one miniboss, killed a random snake, and upgraded one extra sip in his gourd. Busy day.

Triple Edit: DSP just said that if he's played the game for eight hours 'of constant progress and hasn't made it far', that's the game's fault. There's not enough variety in the game.
He's still hitting the Eavesdrop cue, but he immediately looks away and at chat making this meaningless as the dialog is in Japanese. All I can think is that he keeps hitting the prompt thinking he's going to earn some 'chieve after Eavesdropping on x number of convos.

Additionally, he sold EVERY consumable in his invent to buy that gourd seed. So desperate to get his greedy mitts on more hp, he sold items that would serve him 10x over if he took the time to read what they did and ...oh wait, nvm, it's D$P. He don't cotton to this FromSoft PUZZLE game element. I mean No One could figure out that stuff ...aside from his chat, but if it doesn't instantly kill/do Massive dmg D$P considers it totally useless.

Should have seen his eyes when he saw that gourd seed for sale though. He's so hungry for more of them he started killing trash mobs for the coins. I'm hoping you can't exploit this by buying a metric ton of gourd seeds because if you can expect hour after hour of D$P farming mobs for coins to buy him enough gourds to face tank the rest of the game. He will, of course, Love the game if this is possible.

On a side note, the 'Balance/Poise' bar might as well not even be there as he completely ignores it choosing instead to concentrate on chipping away at hp bars.

Wasn't Tevin against troll cheers and tips for a long time? Or said as much years ago. I know he reversed it now since most troll cheers and tips are whales of his, and DSP.

Didn't he do the same thing in the first Bloodborne playthrough? Sold all his blood vials to level up.

Phil will not beat this game. I can say that with near-100% certainty now that I'm reasonably far in.

i can say that with 100% he might come back and try again one day though. but for sure hell ragequit this game. even if he reads my messages and this drives him. hes a quitter at heart and the game will have him pissed off and ranting that he wont care what people say and quit again. hopefully he just doesnt whine and cry about how it isnt his fault he sucks ass and its the games fault for being bad

Agreed - I can't see him beating this game without doing his utmost to look for the cheapest tactics possible. And even then, I'm almost sure it isn't happening, unlike how with Souls and Bloodborne I knew he would slam his head against the brick wall enough to eventually win, or go grind to ludicrously overlevelled status.

He's going to spend the next several sessions grinding for gourd seeds.

Factor in full-on chat-based (and internet-based) handholding. Still near 100%?
Yes. Chat may be able to tell him what to do, but he still has to push the buttons himself. The game is way more reaction-based than any Souls game, and as you get further and further in, you need to be able to rapidly chain parries and jumps/dodges together to not get obliterated

This is a fairly early boss (around the first third of the game, but can be found earlier or later depending on the path you take), just to give you an example:

The fact that he isnt using he mechanics and is just chipping away at every major enemy he encounters, he's fucked...

Just so you know just chipping away at hp will not work later on. your dinky little blade will do shit all against later enemies unless you actually use the games mechanics.

He may be able to beat that boss if he grabs all of the gourd seeds and prayer necklaces first, pretty comparable in difficulty to the one he's already fought. There's no way he's beating anything past that other than the puzzle one, which will take him at least 2 hours.

Works fine, will just take him an hour to kill a single boss.

I'm loving every boss in the game so far,he could beat this game easy but then again this is the guy that want's to assassin creed everything in a from software game and cheese bosses lol

I just watched him fight against the drunkard. Why doesn't he jump left/right?? He just stands there and tries to parry.

As I get closer to the end of the game, i'm becoming increasingly convinced that DSP won't be able to complete it. Mastering the parry mechanic is so essential and Phil seems to believe that he can get through the game by rolling/dahging. The bosses are pushing his shit in, because he refuses to parry. We've seen it here in the early stages of his playthrough and it's only going to get worse from this point on.

He's proven time and time again (especially when he plays racing games) that his reaction time mirrors that of a pensioner so him learning to parry is looking unlikely. Grinding can't save him this time. Neither can summoning or reading walkthroughs. Only skill, which he does not posses, can get him through Sekiro. Rage quit coming within the next week or so.

DSP tries to flee from an enemy after a failed "stealth" approach and getting his ass handed to him.

Jumps into a ravine and dies.

It really looks like this will be his main approach to enemies/the game:

  • 1. try stealth
  • 2. fail at stealth
  • 3. try fighting
  • 4. fail at fighting
  • 5. flee
  • (6. fail at fleeing)
